As a Canadian, I would be much happier if TO and TOW never darkened our fair shores. Forget the royalty angle, the way he has treated his family is completely unforgivable. As it would be if anyone did the same. Sometimes, family is toxic and NC is the healthiest way to deal. And the stress he and his poisonous wife have caused may well be a factor in both KC's and the PoW's illnesses.

I am with you, Tom Bower. What people are neglecting in their hopes for healing is that the first step must be true regret and sorrow for his own behavior on Harry's part. And, frankly, his words and actions currently show no such inclination from Harry.

From a lot of comments I have seen, he was not particularly outstanding before he moved to the USA. I am not sure exactly what the definition of royal is, at this point, other than a descendant of certain people. It doesn't seem to guarantee excellent behavior or excellent intelligence to be a "royal.". No insult intended in any way. Just observation from many years. I definitely like certain BRF members, but I can't see what the precise definition of the concept of " royal" actually is at this point.

I feel you are 100% correct. As the meeting was under 45 mins. I don't think the King wanted a 'cosy chat' Knowing what we have come to see of Henry's character these past years, seeing him waving at LAX with Backgrid photos - he was on an agenda and I doubt if he was using a conciliatory/sympathetic tone with his father. He can't help himself . He has to be aggressive, defensive and combative. IMO and hopefully, although sad for the King, the scales finally fell from his eyes as he made his escape to Sandringham.

I personally don't think his father asked him to come. I think Harry did it on his own. If the King had asked him to come, he would have made more time for Harry. In my opinion 45 minutes is not a welcome visit.

You know, one can forgive Harry for their own well being, but it would be a foolish mistake to ever forget what has taken place and put yourself out there for it to happen again. It's the King's will! An army of prestigious solicitors will have been involved in it's drawing and, it can be sealed for X amount of years if KC so wishes. Bower is right.

There never needs to be a reconciliation when it comes to toxic people. One forgives the person, not the acts, and lets it go. Toxic people don't change, so leaving them out of your life is a healthy, loving act for all concerned.

Harry needs to eat several private jets full of Humble Pie before the rift that he and MM caused with the RF can start to mend! I will not forgive or forget how they treated Prince Philip as he lay in the hospital and Queen Elizabeth III in her last years and summer when they could have spent time with her. Harry doesn't care about his father anymore then Meghan cares about her father. Harry probably just wants to know if the King is dying and how much closer he may be to the throne. My guess is Meghan insisted he go to find out if he will inherit any money or if he can stop him from removing their titles. Harry has no good intentions, he has proven too many times what a dirtbag he is. I hope they don't let him back into the US, we don't want him!

I am so in agreement with Tom Bower.

I think it's for pure, unadulterated PR! If it were simply to meet his father and wish him well, why was the press told he was coming? Why were there photos taken in the airport before he flew? Why were there photos/video of him leaving Heathrow?! He could have arrived quietly, had a discreet meeting, and left quietly. But oh no, it had to be another look at meee!! job. Does he think we are going to forget his despicable behaviour? He has given his family so much worry and stress, which is not good for anyone's health, it's unforgivable. I wish the King and Princess of Wales speedy and full recoveries. My sincere good wishes also to Queen Camilla and Prince William, who are no doubt worried stiff. I wish Johnny Thompson were the King's younger son, then he'd have two educated, intelligent, loyal, hardworking, handsome sons to support him, and William would have a great brother. If only...

However, the fact remains that Harry and his wife have been heartless and cruel toward their families. The appalling and cavalier way they treated the late Duke of Edinburgh doing the O interview as he was dying, the immense stress they heaped on a geriatric, grieving, unwell Queen, the verbal attacks on Queen Camilla, Prince William, the obsessive and pathological jealousy his wife appears to have toward The Princess of Wales. Endgame, written by their mouthpiece Scobie was a vile , misogynist attack. The comments about the Commonwealth, mocking the Queen. Prince William as the future King is very wisely removing himself from unnecessary drama that tends to come from any association with Harry. He is being protective of wife, Harry and his wife have already caused so much nonsensical, needless, unwarranted stress, The potential for misinformation leaks is avoided. The British medias obsession with a reconciliation narrative is actually revictimising the victims. It is a false narrative that the media is trying to push on the public. King Charles privately clearly wants to see his son as he should. Leave it at that. The King now requires peace to recuperate. The media need to lay off Prince William and this ridiculous narrative they are constantly pushing.After all he Prince William is the one who has protected and stood by his father all this time, he will carry the mantle while The King recuperates, he is the future King.

Yes, he wants money to pay the legal fees.

He called Harry the same way he called the other family members. Doesn’t mean he expected him to come over. That was Harry trying to make himself look good.

Why do these media people speak such a load of rubbish. The King being a decent man chose to tell his estranged son that he was about to announce he has cancer. He wouldn't have been so unkind as to let Harry find out on the news because The King is kind. It's that simple.

Two weeks ago we didn't know about the situation with African Parks. My feelings on the matter are that Harry needs every bit of positive PR he can get.
