At the hospital, it was discovered that Golota had suffered a concussion, a fractured left cheekbone and a herniated disc during the fight. Golota left boxing for almost three years before returning on August 14, 2003. Bro did the very right thing to quit that fight and he has all my respect. 💯

Golota quit fights before the Tysons fight. And he looked like a defeated, quiter. If he really had fractured jaw, slipped disc, his posture would been different, he wouldn't had been talking right after fight. The sport was seeing decline in sales and Golota pissed off lots fans, so yeah, organizations put lies out all time. Before you talk shjt on a topic, know the topic. The reason this fighter ia still alive and not a brain bleed is he knew when to call it. You can tell his coach didnt care to even make sure he was alright. He was obviously shook hard after that hit and is really tough to not only get up from that vicous hit, but have the stones to walk away. He listened to mike when mime said you wont be laughing and realized he was horribly mistaken getting into that ring. Just appreciate the hisyory and this show of respect.

@@oldrango883 Lennox is older though. Evander couldn’t get near Lewis. Lewis stopped Bowe at the Olympics. Beat Golota in far more devastating fashion. Lennox beat every man put in front of him. Can’t sleep on Lewis mate. Can’t say all that about many fighters.

@@oldrango883 that Golota fight was less than 2 years later. You are using his victory against Golota as part of your evidence for why Mike was great but dismissing Lennox for beating a fairly similar version. I do agree Mike was past his best but it’s not like Lewis was a young up and comer. He is an older man
