You're right!

You noticed that a piece of debris hit Ron in the eye. That was actually a real accident that gave him a trip to the hospital and stitches. They decided not to retry the scene and just left it in, but few actually catch it. You guys did and thats good. It is quite painful to watch when you know the cut is real.

I've seen these movies many times and I've only just noticed when Neville got the mail and the ball turned red and he doesn't remember what he forgott that he isn't wearing his school uniform. He just got normal clothes on. Can't believe I've never noticed and also never heared anyone talk about that 😧😂

There is a reason for Hermione's comment about expelled being worse than death. In the Wizarding World being expelled as a Muggleborn means your wand snapped and Magic bound, trapping you as a mere 'Muggle' for the rest of your life. For someone like Hermione who had discovered the WW and all its wonders, this would be worse than death. As for the 'gift' from Hagrid to Harry, it was a photo album, NOT a part of the mirror. He went around to those who knew James and Lilly Potter and collected photos and made the album for him. Wizarding photo's, like their portraits, move.

You’re just waffling. The whole point of her line was to show just how much she cares about her education and it being more important than life to her. None of what you said happens or is felt. It isn’t a real world. It’s a book/movie , nothing that isn’t said to happen , happens. There is no what happens behind closed doors or inner thoughts. They do not exist as the world literally don’t exist. If what you said was the case , every movie would instantly become shit because you can apply real logic to it and make it seem stupid as fuck. Like in this , don’t act like hermoine had a certain reason for putting education over her life more than what’s told to us. If a tree falls in the woods and nobody’s there to see it. Does it actually fall? In real life , yes. In a fictional story? No. It doesn’t. The tree don’t exist unless we are told it does.

McGonagall gifts the Nimbus 2000 to Harry not only because she cared about him, but also was extremely competitive with Quidditch and lowkey didn’t fw Slytherin lmao She was a really good player and in her final year during a match against Slytherin that decided who would win the Cup, she got fouled and ended up with a concussion and broken ribs, so she will always want to see them lose after that day

Something not mentioned in the movies about this part, is that it is the very first time Harry sees his parents. Before the mirror Harry had never even seen a picture of them. I cannot imagine the strength in Harry to stop visiting it

The reason Draco wasn’t the Slytherin Seeker was because Ron had said that First Years never make the house teams, probably because they are too young and Quidditch is a dangerous sport. Harry was the exception because McGonagall saw his talent went he caught the Remembrall outside her window. There were always little clues that Quirrel was the culprit rather than Snape. As Harry’s scar hurt you can clearly see Quirrel next to Snape. Since Voldemort is on the back of his head it was why the scar hurt every time he was close to Harry, but because Harry was focussed on Snape staring at him he made the assumption it was him instead. Also when Snape reacts to his cloak on fire you can see Quirrel being knocked off his seat and trying to mask his real expression of not killing Harry.

You both are very intelligent, kind, and have a ton of empathy. I think you both will love this series, understand Harry and his friendships, and become full on Potterheads. Welcome. ❤😊

Cool. I'm 60/40 Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff according to one of the internet quizzes (not the Wizarding World Quiz) which I think fits me. I've not done the HP game yet, but I'd love to sometime. I played the Sorcerer's Stone's PC game a long time ago.

I’m a hufflepuff-puff-pass baby. We the good ones. Loyal, fun loving, patient and just. We have the least dark wizards from our house and our common room is by the kitchen so you can swing on over for a snack whenever. People give us crap but it’s just cuz they aren’t chill enough.

😂😂😂 Hagrid gave Harry a photo album, so that was a photo of baby Harry and his parents. Photos in the wizarding world move. They're a bit like gifs. People in paintings can speak they are sort of a copy of the person or animal. I was sorted into Ravenclaw house. CAW CAW! 🦅 😂

I’m a Slytherin! Not all Slytherins are bad but most dark wizards happen to come from Slytherin. Also, the founder of Slytherin is a weird dude who believed that only pure blooded wizards should be allowed at Hogwarts. If that were the case Hermione wouldn’t be allowed to attend due to the fact that she has two muggle parents, despite the fact that we can see she’s clearly the most proficient at magic in her entire grade. The Malfoy family follows these pure blooded beliefs and so does Voldemort. It’s a theme that I am dissapointed in my house for holding onto for all this time and I’m sad its part of what Slytherin was built on. The idea that only pure blooded wizards should be allowed in the wizarding world is comparable to,, certain other supremacy beliefs in my opinion. Not all Slytherins believe in pure blood supremacy; I certainly don’t.

Y’all should take the pottermore quiz to sort your houses!that’s the official one that I take into account . I’m a slytherin ,a lot of people think slytherin is just for evil wizards, but evil wizards come from every house. Slytherin is just more known or notorious for it then others,the main slytherins in harry potters story are evil,or spoiled brats. Slytherins are known as ambitious,determination,resourcefulness, cleverness. I would even say Ravenclaws are know to be more rude/cunning than slytherins.

The three were running from the cat because it's not an ordinary cat. Whenever it sees students doing something they shouldn't be doing it kinda alerts Mr. Filch. I'm house hufflepuff, not everyone in Slytherin is bad but they are known for turning out the most dark Wizards for my house or not for turning out the least. Ravenclaw animal is of a eagle not a raven like it is in the movie. Their colors are also supposed to be blue and bronze not blue and silver like it is in the movie.

The best thing about the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone, to me is that the chambers following the third-floor corridor containing Fluffy each play to the strengths of Harry, Ron and Hermione. The Devil's Snare chamber caters to Hermione's knowledge of spells. The room with the winged keys caters to Harry's skill with quidditch. And the chess room caters to Ron's knowledge of how to play chess. Side notes: The Sorting Hat chooses new students' houses based on their corresponding personality traits: Gryffindor-Bravery, helping others, and chivalry. Hufflepuff-Hard work, patience, loyalty, and fair play. (I'm a proud Hufflepuff) Ravenclaw-Intelligence, knowledge, and wit. Slytherin-Ambition, cunning and resourcefulness. Erised (The Mirror of Erised) is the word desire spelled backward. Hedwig is a snowy owl. They have ruffled wing feathers to silence their flight, so prey animals don't hear them coming. They also have natural camouflage due to their coloration, and they're the only birds who don't have bare feet due to their habitats, like the Arctic Tundra. At the time of the deaths of Lily and James Potter at the hands of Voldemort, Harry was only 15 months old.

Yes. As much as I enjoy the movies they do do Ron a bit dirty compared to the books, there are several cool parts that are given to Hermione that were actually done by Ron in the books. The reason for that is the lead screen writer for the films was a bit biased, Hermione was his favorite character.

I have always found Ravenclaw the most interesting house ,because Ravens are dark,smart,mysterious and even sinister birds/creatures often a symbol of death through History.I am surprised Ravenclaw isn't more notorious or that someone else as powerful and dangerous as Voldemort didn't come from Ravenclaw!

I’m excited to see you guys go on the Harry Potter journey. I’m a Ravenclaw. Took the test four times and got Ravenclaw/Gryffindor/Ravenclaw/Ravenclaw. But my friends are mostly Slytherin. My friend Sara thinks I should be a Slytherin.😂

In the books the reason why Ron and Harry relate to their first class was because of the Poltergeist peeves. They did not show that in the movie I did hear that they had an actor who played peeves but they cut them out in the first film, after recording a few scenes

You are correct. The actor was Rik Mayall. I love him in the movie Drop Dead Fred! That same energy would have translated amazingly to the character of Peeves.

Grateful to have experienced HP for/w/ you all! Can’t wait to bring another movie. I (swizz) got Hufflepuff & sheim got Gryffindor

How do they know it's him by looking at him when he hasn't been seen since a baby? It's actually an important question. Even more so since he was born while his parents were in hiding. Only a select few other than his parents even saw him for the 1st year & 3 months of his life. Harry is the spitting image of his dad, even wearing glasses like him. Except for the eyes. Harry's eyes are identical to his mom's. This becomes important. Almost all wizards have seen pics of James & Lily Potter & say they can see he looks like James. Some though add on "except the eyes. You have your mother's eyes!" These are the people that knew the Potters the best.

That’s something that did confuse us when watching. Also i (Swizz) said that exact same thing during the scene when Harry first saw his parents in the mirror. The glasses, smile, eyes all looked like a combination or one of his parents

Thank you so much for reacting to this! I really enjoyed your takes so much! If you finish out the series, you won't believe what it becomes by the end. It just keeps branching out and getting more mature and darker. Hope you stick with it, I would love to see you guys do all eight movies! I also love that swizz got Hufflepuff! It's sometimes an overlooked house, but as Rowling said, it's the house we should really want to belong to and aspire to. It's the house that's about loyalty, hard work, and fairness. It's also the house that's about community and nurturing.

Nice to meet & interact w/ you! Interacting w/ our viewers is why we started the channel in the first place (which is why we also try to respond to & read ALL of our comments). I (swizz on the right) took a quiz & got Hufflepuff. Hufflepuff & Ravenclaw seem to be the majority. Next HP movie coming in 2-3 weeks🙏🏾

Some notes - the guy Harry met in the forest, wasn't Mr. Tumnus. Mr. Tumnus is a Satyre - half human, half goat, with two legs. The guy in the forest is called Firenzee, and he is a Centaur - half human, half horse, with four legs. Also, when Hagrid revealed to the trio the secret to get past Fluffy - he wasn't refering to the guy who sold him Fluffy, he was talking about someone who sold him the dragon's egg. He got Fluffy much earlier, from someone in Albania, if I remember correctly.

What is also interesting, both creatures are from Greek mythology - Mr. Tumnus the Satyre and Firenzee the Centaur. We actually see another creature from Greek mythology in this movie - Fluffy the three-headed dog, who guards the entrance to filosofer's stone, i.e. Cerberus, the three-headed dog, who guards the entrance to hell.

Also - more notes. The key's in the chamber weren't Hagrid's - he has his keys with himself, on a giant key-ring. The keys in the chamber were just random keys charmed by professor Flitwick to make them fly, with one key matching the door. And it wasn't Philosophers stone that gave Harry the power to fight off Quirrel/Voldemort, it was Harry himself. His mother sacrificed her life to protect Harry, and that kind of emotion, Love, is something Voldemort, who is pure evil, can not understand nor fight off...

This made me so happy to see. These movies and books were my childhood and I grew up with the characters. You were both so attentive to the plot & even took notes. So excited for you to dive into the rest of the series! Also, I am in Hufflepuff! 💛

When my wife and I got married, the books had just started coming out, so we got the first book and read it aloud to each other, taking turns. We read all the books, and saw the movies as they also came out. I really enjoyed seeing you two react to movie five, so I am going to watch all of them with you from the beginning.

Big Griffindor!!!

Everyone says he went from sleeping under the stairs to this magical life. But honestly I think it was a lateral move. His world opened up and became filled with so much more love and community and family. But also the from 11-17 he suffered soooo much more. He suffered for the first 17 years of his life. It’s such a tragic and beautiful story 😢😢

Now that you have seen all movies, you may be interested to know this particular information: The first thing Snape asks Harry is "Potter! What would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?" According to Victorian Flower Language, asphodel is a type of lily meaning 'My regrets follow you to the grave' and wormwood means 'absence' and also typically symbolised bitter sorrow. If you combined that, it meant " I bitterly regret Lily's death ".

I know in the movie it says that Harry's father was a seeker, but he was not he was a chaser. JK Rowling even stated this that Harry's father was a chaser not a secret but he did like playing with the golden snitch
