A close friend and helicopter pilot graciously invited us for a ride. His day was made.

He will remember that ride for the rest of his life and will tell his grandchildren about it. You are giving your son memories of what will be his "good old days ".

That was absolutely amazing!! I have been on a few myself as I have always been obsessed with them. My first was in 1972 as a kid and I remember every single second of that ride. He was so pro sitting there!

My wife and I did the same thing for our son when he was about 10 years old. He loved it. Now he is 45 years old and has ridden them all across Iraq. He served two tours over there. He ended his last tour as a lieutenant in the army. You never know what they will grow up to be. Always just be proud and love him.

Back when I flew, I took my 4 year old son all the time. Today he’s 50 and he’s a full time maintenance chief for a helicopter company. When he was 17 he got his fixed wing Private and Instrument Certificate . He has the A&P and Inspector’s Certificates as well.

That helicopter is made in California. In resting story but I’ll be curious about the timber look like some of it was dead. Wondering where you’re at. Thanks for the post God bless

Just dormant on the timber. It was a mix of planted pines and hardwoods. At the time, the hardwoods were still dormant for winter.
