I think it’s weird, sorry. Do what makes you both happy, but she is just a couple years into adulthood and you have lived a whole life and have a kid. Your age gap is not far off from a lot of kids and their parents. Is she closer to your child’s age or your age? I don’t doubt she likes you and she probably can’t see how this will limit her own life to try to mesh with yours, but if you care about her and her development you should let her go. If it’s meant to be, maybe you will be reunited some day. The gap isn’t the issue, its that you both are in very different stages of life.

Honestly it is a bit weird, that’s a large difference like almost father and daughter age difference but the worst part of it is she hasn’t experienced life enough and he has. She’s going to go through that want to have fun phase and make mistakes phase even if she did a little bit in high school, she will go through it again, just about everyone does.
