I know he didn't say the clips have to copy anime, I was saying he *acted* like they had to copy an anime, saying things like "this isn't one piece" and "this doesn't look anything like Naruto". And the clips don't have to have anything to do with the anime it's portrayed as they just need to be remotely similar. the creator of the video is basically saying "this is the closest thing to gum gum rocket" or "this *kind of* looks like a move from (insert anime name) but in gumball.

Gumball streaching had nothing to do with a rubber band, but it was still a rubber band portrayed by gumball because at that moment gumball had the properties of rubber.

That clip of gumball stretching is gumball if he was describing to the audience what Luffy is like. The video is not about gumball referencing anime's, but it's about gumball describing them with actions.
