Don't worry, the nightmare only lasted 40 minutes until my muscles relaxed and my jaw shut again, but the pain lasted a couple of hours afterward. Had to put senior kitty down last year (lived to be nearly 18, domestic shorthair), and it still crushes me 😔 We vocally communicated like this all the time, especially as she grew older. Loved the family picnic with Yogi the bear, he's smarter than your averaaaaage bear! My advice to the mother of the kid with the big mouth, quick mom padlock the fridge!! It's a black bear. Not that aggressive. The only bears that are actually aggressive and attack are brown Grizzlies and polar bears

Just a friendly FYI: this behavior towards a bear. Feeding it, not yelling making loud noises, spraying it, deterring it with non lethal force, etc will eventually lead to the bears death. The compassionate thing to do is deterring the bear from interacting with humans. They come to expect food from humans, get aggressive, and then get put down. It hurts me to see this.

@@lohengrin5082 actually the more wild animals get exposed to wild humans, they less wild humans can justify the things they tell themselves that lead them to hurt these animals. It takes out the "unknown" factor. People often hate things they fear, and they fear things they don't know a lot about. Let's make these humans know more >:)
