'He Shouldn't Outshine The King!' Has Prince Harry 'Snubbed' Royal Family On UK Court Visit?
Prince Harry has appeared at the High Court in London this week coinciding with King Charles first state visit as monarch to Germany.
But will Harry be visiting any of the royal family after travelling 5,500 miles to appear in court? And is his visit outshining the King in terms of the news agenda?
In this week's Royal Tea Sarah Hewson is joined by political commentator Michael Cole, TalkTV commentator Afua Hagan and Co-host of Us Weekly's Royally Us podcast Christine Ross.

Shaw Roberts I agree from Germany. A lot of people waited hours to see him and he made a very good speech mostly in German in our Parliament, got standing ovations in the end. I listened to the whole speech on TV and loved it.

It’s not that he shouldn’t outshine his Father, it’s that its not about him and if he can’t act like an adult, then he needs to stay home and let someone else have their day. It’d be like he shows up to someone’s birthday party and starts opening presents.

King Charles is doing exactly that, ignoring them and getting on with Royal duties. It’s a family matter, so is being dealt with privately (as it should be) and King Charles is slowly distancing Harry from the RF. No doubt there will be more to come after the Coronation. You can’t go by what the media says about olive branches or the King giving in, it’s speculation and gossip based on dubious opinions from ‘insiders’, outside of the four walls of the palace, no one knows what’s happening.

Queen Camilla looked incredible! I'm from the generation who adored Diana and blamed Camilla for a lot. But I have grown to be fond of Camilla. She just kept her head down and worked hard and she clearly makes the King happy. I wish her the best.

It was not "a shame" that the King and Prince of Wales did not meet with Harry. Harry has no right to expect a family meeting with the people he has been attacking and trashing with absolutely not one iota of concern about the hurt he is inflicting on them and on the Institution of the monarchy. He's lucky the days of being thrown in the Tower are long gone, so not giving him the honor of a meeting is the least the King can do. Harry needs some reality therapy.

HasBeen will probably leave the court crying like a girl! Then hopefully our country does the right thing and don't let him re-enter our great country! It was her drunk driver that caused the accident not the paparazzi, not to mention that he was driving almost 100 miles an hour!
The presenters should listen to the interview with the portrait artist who painted the picture, he spent a good bit of time with Charles and said he painted him as the man is he got to know. A gentle gentleman.
Why should their be a meeting? He couldn't have a court case without throwing his family under the bus. When is enough ever enough? The King needs to now put a deadline on their response to attend coronation and if not received, give their seats away to more deserving people.
They snubbed him, he desperately wanted a meeting. William was on holiday with the kids and KC was getting ready to go to Germany.

True, and the RF had every right not to see him after Harry's despicable behavior. Also, Harry just showed up without telling anyone he would be in the UK. Did he really think that the RF would just drop what they were doing to see someone who was there to upstage the King and Queen's visit to France? I think the palace kept the info from him because they were working hard to make him look good and if they told him he’d go in both feet and open himself up to the stories like drug taking and his behaviour that they were trying hard to keep quiet. Harry is currently in London and attending the hearing for USA tax avoidance purposes, his expenses will be written off as legal expenses.
Thinking further on the rather mind-boggling verbal and written attacks of Prince Harry on his father and brother, it really is more egregious to be so mean to his father at such a sad time for King Charles as he lost both his parents in a relatively short time. The added stress of a difficult new job as King and organizing the Coronation were even more reasons for Harry as a son to try to be kind to him. The Prince and Princess of Wales and the Queen Consort also have more duties and lost very loved relatives as well. Harry 's continued attacks on his family have been painful to observe from my viewpoint.

You are so right. You clarified the hurt he has caused deliberately, it is all really repulsive. Poor Charles, he has had to watch the destruction of his problematic son by a scheming narcissist at the most stressful time in his life, losing his parents and having to take on this huge responsibility in his mid 70’s. Harry and his wife are clearly trying to bring down his family for money, and as a result insult a whole nation. I still cannot believe this is happening.

Charles spent 50 years as an apprentice, he must have been yearning to bump off his mother so that he could get his grubby paws on the throne. What new duties do WandK and Whorse have? They are pretty much still doing what they were pretending to do before charles ascended the throne- showing up, cutting ribbons, making inane speeches and then living. There's nothing they do for their charities, in fact sime of their charities have been shutting down in recent years for lack of funding, case in point The Art Room (Kate's charity). Heck during the pandemic, whilst on a zoom call with one of her charities (Action for Action for Addiction) she was called out by one of the workers for only showing up to see them ONCE in EIGHT YEARS.

Just prior to a State visit to Germany King Charles didn’t need the upset to his equilibrium that seeing Harry would have caused.Lets remember that selfish Harry insisted on discussions immediately after Charles had just buried his beloved father.

If Epsteins semi literate hookers can write it , why he can't ? There're ups and downs in Family like everywhere else , but he Never bad mouthed them and I believe he never will .

She tries and fails to upstage anyone. Harry is a grown man who has made his own choices and is now having to live with them - without the support and protection of his family. What can the King do or say to Harry? Their final denouement will come after the coronation.

The queen loved Angela Kelly and wouldn't be happy that she has to vacate her home. She's not exactly young. Charles shouldn't ask her to leave her house.

Agreed! If she has to downsize, could she have one of the Royal apartments or Nottingham Cottage? She has been by the Queen's side for decades, a dear friend and trusted dresser, unable to plan for her own home elsewhere. She may still be helpful to Princess Catherine if she wishes to work part time.

Susan C the press have given the wrong information, Grace and Favour only with the job the Monarch can't give Grace and Favour homes to staff for life when those they work for die, they try to give them other jobs in the Palace but she had a specific job, they couldn't have employed her elsewhere and they are given 3 months to leave when the Queen Mother died the samething happened with her butler and the press explained it then the rest of the Queen's personal staff could be kept on and so could the Queen Mother's and Angela Kelly was not homeless, she is worth millions
Does Harry not realise that when he 'snubs' the King he is showing his contempt for us all horrible little petty man if you can call this snivelling person a man

The RF didn't treat him and especially his wife well when they were in Britain. I read Diana's book. They didn't treat her well either. Did you think they would have treated Meghan any better? Please.
Why isn’t the expectation that Harry should travel to meet the King based on the King’s schedule? It’s ridiculous that people believe King Charles and The Prince of Wales should change their schedule to accommodate Harry’s whims. Ridiculous and frustrating.

Lacey Roberts royal protection don't work for the royal family, they are part of the security detail that work for our country and its the home office and the Metropolitan police make all decisions

At 17:50- Yes, they chased Diana, however, when Lady Colin Campbell did research for her last book on Diana, she was shown PROOF that Diana rang up the paps beforehand to tell them where she would be in Paris, so they could chase her. It was arranged. She was trying to Impress Dodi, by showing him how popular & Important she was. So, sadly, Diana was at least in part responsible for her own demise. I refer you to the video by Lady Colin Campbell on Sept 1 2022, where she talks about Diana’s life & what really happened back then behind the scenes.
