Martial, I play mostly against AI on legendary difficulty & I've been consistently wrecking the AI for a few years doing so. Idk what it is that is intimidating me to hop online into ranked matches. I believe I'm very solid on the feet & clinch. My ground game is great when I'm fully focused & dialed into blocking transitions & transitioning myself. My question to you or should I say challenge is a 1v1. I'd love to play against a guy that fights like a real fighter. Which is why I've kept to offline modes. Because it feels more like a fight, instead of a Tekken match. If not, I completely understand! Thank you for the great content. My skill is night & day from when I started watching you. So I owe it to a lot of your tips and videos. Cheers!

I catch myself using excuses a lot when I lose. I feel like it stems from ego (obviously) but also the fact that once you hit a certain skill level in anything you can't really see immediate results. The grind to be come great is built on tiny increments of improvement, and that can be really frustrating since it feels like you're not really getting better, even if you are. Anyway thanks for the videos ❤️

Exactly, we are human after all and we hate to lose so we try and convince ourselves that we didn’t lose, the other person or team just lost lol. But at the end of the day, when you complain and complain and complain after every lose about the same things, it just makes you a sore loser especially when you see the person using the same techniques and you still can’t counter.

I don't do that. Most of the time I win but when I lose it's usually due to them being top 10 in the world and parrying and blocking my every move lol.

I think doing Jiu-Jitsu has really helped me with that. There's nothing more humbling than being totally and utterly dominated in the gym. Now SOME people still make excuses... the classic one is "You're just using strength" or "If I wasn't tired I would get you"... but for the most part, there are no excuses. You get your ass whooped and you take the ass whooping and use that as motivation to get better.

Always gotta be able to accept ur not the best. It’s pretty easy when it’s a video game that holds no merit on your life. Unless ur martial, he’s a baller and does this shit for a living, challenging that is just hilarious

Reminds me when I was playing UFC 3 and beat someone, they sent me a salty message saying that I only won because of my character so I offered him a rematch where I would just go random and let it pick for me, he accepts. We go into heavyweight and I random and get some low rated grappler (forgot the name) and he got a high rated striker (think it was isaac frost) and I stayed standing the whole time and beat him. After it was over he went completely silent and did not respond to any DMs

Marshall I had an amazing idea! You could do an episode (or hopefully series) where your community chooses a fighter, and you use them on maximum cpu difficulty, in an open weight custom fight with a randomized opponent. I feel like it would make for some hilarious match-ups!
