Dimash is a 29-year-old Kazakh vocalist and composer; He speaks Kasakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and would be completing a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. He was in Los Angeles, USA, working on his new material that his fans (he affectionately calls us "dears") are eagerly awaiting. This wasn't my style of music until I heard Dimash. I still only listen to it when it is Dimash, but I listen to him for hours every day. His music is so complex and versatile, it keeps me yearning to hear him. What will be next? He loves to surprise us! You like metal, try Olimpico. You will be blown away! Dimash is singing SOS by Luc Plamondons a French-Canadian lyricist which he wrote in collaboration with the composer French Michel Berger. The rock opera is called Starmania, and includes SOS about an “earthling" in distress.

Being a metalhead myself, I'll just say "ditto" to everything you said.

Pardon me for saying so, but there is no way anyone can presume that Dimash isn't their "cup of tea" until they have seen and heard dozens of his performances. He handles virtually every genre of music brilliantly---and that includes some rock guitar and metal scream episodes. (Check out "Go Go Power Rangers" for a song that rocks as hard as anything you have ever heard). His metal scream at the end of "Story of One Sky," is for the ages, and the MV of "When I've Got You," has a guitar solo that gets the attention of nearly every reactor. As a side note, Dimash once said that metal is his favorite kind of music.

Dimash is unique. I was so used to listening other types of music, (cold play, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Taylor swift, Shakira and many others)which all were similar, nothing different and I was happy, until I discovered Dimash , and learned what a true artist, a singer should be. He is the greatest vocalist in this generation. His voice is his tool so he works hard at it. Now is hard for me to listen to singers who really don’t sing and release songs that don’t move me , I try not to compare them with Dimash but now is very hard not to.. Definitely not going to stop, Alex. Even though I'm a Metal fan, I like listening to music that I wouldn't ordinarily. I think it also makes interesting reactions because I analyse and hear it differently to a vocal coach, for example.

He has a song called War and Peace and musically it has a lot of metal, you should react to it. 🥰

Thank you for this comment. I am extremely open minded and can still enjoy and appreciate all types and genres of music, regardless of whether "they are my cup of tea". Some people are adamant that I should listen to 25 of his tracks and he will eventually change my mind, but I could say they same thing to every person here about death metal, thrash metal, 1990's rave and acid house etc 😊 But I will definitely be doing some more Dimash videos because I find it interesting and different. I also think I can offer different views and insight vs a superfan because there isn't any favouritism. I can simply tell it how it is. How I hear and see it. With my weird sense of humour, of course.

Love your reaction...I look forward to watching Stranger ...it is one of his songs in english. Dimash is that one in a lifetime singer and I am happy it happened in my lifetime. If you like rock you might also enjoy his latest drop...When I've Got You....the guitar riff is something but so is his singing also again in english....cheers from across the pond😊

Great reaction. As per many experts opinion, Dimash is the best singer in the world. His range is more then seven octaves, his talent and charisma are unmatchable. He can sing anything. All his songs are masterpieces. Waiting for more Dimash. All the best.

Based on the one song I've heard, it isn't my cup of tea. I'd rather be honest than pretend. He may well convert me in the future. Let's see.

For a metal fan, check out Dimash’s Durdaraz (Almaty Concert) or his Go Go Power Ranger Those are more your style. I appreciate that you gave him a listen even if it ISN’T your cup of tea ☕️ You’ll notice a HUGE difference in thr Power Ranger song vs Stranger in his English diction. He has only recently started learning/speaking in English but did many English speaking songs before that. Stranger is another amazing demonstration of range & style. He has his own genre & isn’t boxed into one because he can literally do anything (he refers to it as neo-classical). Although he was classically trained, he also studied other styles like pop & jazz. Enjoy the journey!

Thank you Jessica. I know that he has a HUGE back catalogue of material and I can't possibly listen and react to them all. Well... in theory I could. But it would take a while! 🤣 But I enjoy listening to different genres and styles of music, even if I might not listen to them "in my leisure and for personal enjoyment" so to speak. Stranger will definitely be the next track I react to. But I've got some other other bands and artists to do first as there is plenty of great music out there that I haven't touched the surface on. I hope some of the Dimash fans join me on this discovery of other bands and artists, as opposed to only watching my Dimash videos. I want to share music with you guys as much as you recommending me things to watch too. That's what this channel is about. Listening to ace music. Have a great morning/afternoon/evening 😊
