edits: ➤ i did in fact forget 'festering desire'. if you have it, it's quite good on xingqiu, but sac sword will still pull ahead in most situations ➤ Haran is a strong option for Xingqiu as a statstick, making it a respectable options against his other 5 star options (except for Jadecutter) ➤ Sac Sword is VERY awkward on Xingqiu before r3, because the passive cooldown is longer than he would like it to be until it reaches 22s at r3. @@junlexip9204 Same for me with a few characters. If the character doesn't have big pp damage, they're most likely sitting in the vault. I will admit that some OP characters I have like xingqiu, xiangling, sucrose(being built), Bennet, etc. aren't built yet due to me having some teams I just use in the overworld, since I rarely do abyss. Probably should, but meh

Fun tip: After the updated Hydro resonance, Yelan gets more HP when paired with another Hydro + 2 other elements than on Rainbow teams, making Hydro resonance even better for her.

Hu Tao, XQ, Yelan, and Zhongli (or C6 Thoma) has never been better! All units benefit from the HP buff and all units work so well together.

I had r1 sacrificial sword on xingqiu for almost a year, then I managed to pull 4 copies within a month on the character banners, the quality of life improvement is so nice. He’s also my only C6 4 star so he’s got it all lol

I will always be baffled at how I somehow made an almost completely meta team entirely by accident early on, week 1 I had pulled multiple Bennett and xingqiu copies and made a team consisting of xingqiu, Bennet, xiangling and keqing. If I had used chongyun or sucrose I would have made probably the most meta team at the time.

Waiting for him and Ganyu to get their skins.

I remember when I first got him, I only had the Fillet Blade for him… his E’s would 1-shot enemies unexpectedly. 😅

I'm so glad that 3.0 allowed me to C6 Fischl and Xingqiu (they're my first C6's except from traveler). I'm definitely proud of the time I've taken to build them.

I tried to C6 both but end up at C4 for both, now im at 74 pity and afraid to pull (I want kokomi but saving for nahida)

i spent actual months waiting to get xingqiu. the first time i ever farmed for a character was rosaria, and in the process i got the most overpowered hydro cup i had ever seen and it still held up in 2.4 when i finally got xingqiu. my only other invested hydro character was my kokomi who obviously would not benefit whatsoever from the cracked crit rolls. and so it sat in my bag, waiting for the day that xingqiu came home. and then he did twice on one banner and i was VERY happy about it. hes only lvl70 rn bc im in an xp book crisis, but... one day...

You never know you need him until you get him. :)

@@mischarowe ikr! They're my favorite duo. Xingqiu and yelan, shenhe and ayaka, my favorite team. It's kinda hard to rely on xingqiu's healing, but if everyone is just frozen like 90% of the time you don't take that much damage lol

I can't believe it. I been avoiding Oceanid for almost three weeks. And I beat it on my first try about a half hour ago. I got Xingqiu in the Star Glitter shop and love him. I also finally got my first Sacrificial Sword in a pull a couple days ago. Now I'm raising him and for where I'm at in the game, I'm crushing everything. I got a long way to go of course, but my patience seems to be paying off!

A good thing about Xingqiu is he can have low crit rate and still be able to crit pretty constantly

As my second character pulled way back on venti's first banner i think it's really nice to see a him once be thought as garbage to becoming uncontested. And it only makes it better since he is my favorite character 😌

For months when the game started I really wanted Xingqiu and Ningguong. Then Mihoyo made me choose between them. It was a fairly easy choice for Xingqiu, but I did have lost prayer and skyward atlas (I didn't know character banner pity carried to the next character banner so I wished on the standard banner for my first 2 5-stars which were the 2 catalysts) and only Barbara and Lisa to use them on. Luckily Ningguong became available later on (shop maybe? or was it an event? or both?). Absolutely have loved him from early on though. I pulled Keqing shortly before albedo and Keqing was close to unplayable without Xingqiu.

@@maraisfan4life517 on the contrary... 1) most reaction Main DPS will be OP with xingqiu, so that's nothing special 2) If you haven't tried the keqing aggravate comp, give it a shot. Not only will it allow Keqing to utilize 4pc thundering fury, (fischl runs 4pc thundersoother here), electrocharge now officially becomes the worst reaction in the game in terms of 4 character team dps.

My main point is that dendro traveller is now a better replacement in a keqing fischl jean/sucrose (prototype amber sucrose if u need heal) comp. Whereas it is usually xingqiu instead of traveller.

I just got him C6 after having ONLY BARBARA AS HYDRO FOR SO LONG, he should be a 6 star the dude is cracked. So is Kokomi, that clam set nuke especially when she bursts makes her kinda crazy. So glad I have some new hydro's 🙂

I just got into the game a few weeks before the update and I got lucky and got razor and diona in tighnari banner I think bloom as a lot of potential since you can apply both dendro and cryo on mobs meaning you can do a lot of funn stuff whit a good hydro character I only have barbara but thank god he is in this banner and in paimon shop

There is not contest about him ever since I got him back then. He's just stupidly consistent at C0. Like Jayhoon said: "Xingqiu, the Consistent King".

for burgeon try xinyan with them! if she hits three characters at the same time with her skill, her shield with release pyro aoe dmg for it's duration. you can use xingqiu skill/burst and dendro character's skill to make bloom repeatedly then use xinyan's skill and burgeon a lot if you're fighting a group of treasure hoarders/samurai

Mistsplitter high base and 12% passive is better than Jade Cutter unless you have Hydro resonance to utulize the passive. Updated guide but should have included Lion`s Roar, it`s passive works perfectly

Yes thank you for mentioning that! Mistsplitter is honestly better than Jade cutter for the high base atk and he can easily get 2 stacks after using burst. Jade cutter has been benched ever since I got the Mistsplitter.

The taser and freeze teams I use usually have at least 2 other characters who can benefit from 4p noblesse, so I honestly prefer it over 4p emblem 80% of the time lol (unless he's with Bennett or Diona who use 4p no instead) specially when taser and freeze usually lack atk% buffs and Xingqiu doesn't snapshot, so he also gets the buff himself

I can't even figure out why this kid is such a TANK even with the relatively low max health of about 15000ish that mine has. My C0 Xingqiu has been irreplaceable for me since like AR 20 when I got him. He was always the only character to never die in the early days when the difficulty was a challenge. My Razor, Xiangling, and Kaeya would all be dead and Xingqiu would be like "Wait, where'd everybody go!? You can't nap in the middle of an ascension quest!" And now with less squishy teams he is still amazing and always in an Abyss party with my 5 stars.

Anyway, it is just so amusing to me that this tiny little book nerd is such a monster. When you love a character you just want to gush about them :D

I absolutely love Xingqiu, before Dendro came I was still using him but now with Dendro he is now a huge support in my team.

Xingqiu is also adorable kid. Adopt him and your account goes from Itto to Al-Haitham. Kinda wanna pull for cons now (mine is c0) Edit: Had to end my wishing session prematurely due to an unexpected Keqing in my first multi (40ish pity). Now saving for grass god. No Xingqiu cons, unfortunately, but I got Dori, and since I have C-1 Kuki, that's pretty nice

Pulled just to get 5 copies of him, got 4 and got the last one from the shop, also won my 50/50 in ganyu banner (not what I wanted) hope I win my other 50/5 in scaramouche banner, this video is a gem I'll be using it as reference to build him!

For Raiden teams u can significantly lower his er requirements to 180 ish and preferably run a two set artifacts my xinqui is at 69/210 with Jade Cutter (c2 unfortunately RNG hates me)

Lion’s roar at high refinement can be good on him too in national/taser teams

I just got xingqiu by accident one day and never used him because i just didn't like him, but with 3.0 I use him with collei and kequing, those 3 together are definitely a powerful electro melee team and i love it

I see you didn’t farm the F2P weapon from the snow albedo event “Festering Desire” Cuz that’s a good weapon for him as well

I do try double hydro with Childe and Xingqiu and it's quite fun

Btw, now Fav Sword is just as strong as Sac Sword R3+, can be even better in quickswap team when he can proc the passive often. So unless you have a Yelan with on your team, just use the one with higher refinement (but if your Sac Sword is R1-2 then use Fav Sword). Proved by Quincy.

XQ is broken because 'she' can do 1. Off field dps (Q) 2. Burst (E) 3. Battery 🔋 (Sac E) 4. Damage reduction (unlimited as long Q is on) 5. Constant hydro applications

Didn't like using him during the Quest... Got c4 after wishing and events, then realized he's really strong... Crowned him... Just got his c6 and now his benny buffed skill does 30k+ and swords nearing 20k per sword. Not bad 😅

Xinqiu was literally my fourth ever pull in Genshin. I don’t know if I’m just lucky or what. I’m really new to genshin and a ftp, so it’s kind of crazy to me that people can build him (again, my FOURTHever character pull-) into something like that.

Who is good with skyward blade. 😅 i do have aquilla favonia for my bennett but really dont want to waste a 5* weapon cause i only have 4 so far, but really dont know a character that gets better with skyward blade. To be honest while I do believe emblem is his best set in most cases but I am running him 2 piece nobless 2 piece HOD and I never really have a issue with getting his burst back up thanks to sac sword a er sands and good substats and he like a truck as well thanks to the set bonusses that said you also can overstack ER on him since his bust has a fixed cd. I seen people do this where they run him with sac sword full emblem and a lot of ER on him and yes his burst gets up way faster then the fixed cd but that does nothing for dmg since you can't use it anyways but meanwhile their other stats like crit and EM are really low. Like yes he has high ER needs but once you reached a certain point getting more of it is just not worth it and you rather should focus on getting on other stats he is not like raiden where more ER means more dmg. This becomes even more true if you run him in a team where his ER gets a boost thanks to his team.

The reason I'm waiting for a Yelan rerun is because i want a second XQ

Lions roar is also good on him on him if you use him on raiden national

C6 haver here who uses him inside and outside of Raiden National with Lion's Roar. Even without 4pc Emblem, he can still survive on 160% ER if your teammates run Favonious. Truly an underrated weapon for him.

All he needs are some pants now

Xingqiu with Bloom team is actually good, because his hydro application is faster, therefore you can build dendro MC into EM and deal higher Bloom DMG, because it's DMG is based on who activated reaction. You don't want to build Xingqiu full EM you know

I think my superpower is not needing any ER sands, being under the threshold, and still getting burst back on cooldown 👽

well her burgeon uptime would be completely tied to her burst since it's the only form of AOE pyro dmg she has, and you'd have to build her full EM, which at that point you might as well just build regular yoimiya, so i don't personally think it'll be enjoyable but yeah

I'm crying in c3 Xingqiu :") I pulled him off banner twice. Other two have been from events. I'm praying I get a con from him from current banner.. but so far no luck; as I got Sucrose when she was already c6.. Someone please pray to hoyo for me so I can one day c6 my Xingqiu. He's probably one of my favorite characters overall, I'm just so sad I haven't had as much luck with his cons. He's still always an abyss staple tho. My funny mistake today was forgetting that Xingqiu's swords don't apply during Xiao's ult plunge attacks.. cuz they're plunge attacks.. ☠ Going back to the Abyss after playing around in Sumeru with dendro was wild lemme tell ya.

Xingqiu + Beidou's combined damage reduction is incredible and somwhat underrated, it adds up to ~70% depending on talent levels, even more useful if you have Beidou's C1 shield.

I use xinqui, bennet, xiangling, and collei and its not that bad

Xingqiu + Candace actually lets people make a decent main DPS out of him by making his Normal attacks actually relevant. I dont care to play him that way, but it's okay.

Burgeon is good if your dendro char is well built i tried using dendro mc with dilluc and bennet plus mona Its hard to set up cuz you don't want to pop travelers burst but once you get it, it wil deal a huge amount of damage if you have enough green thingy idk but it goes like this benet burst > dendro traveler burst and skill then use mona skill after that pop everything up with dilluc's burst Then follow up with mona's burst and then go on with dilluc onfield Edit You could replace mona with xingqui and use sucrose instead of Bennett so your dendro char enjoys the em buff

is it worth pulling for him, if i'm close to pity and don't want Ganyu/Kokomi at all?

He's an amazing pickup since there are no other 4* Hydro at this time except Barbara. Even with the new ones, I feel they'll be more niche than universal. He just enables so many teams even if he's not the BEST option for some. I'd say he's your jack of all trades Hydro. Should you summon? It mostly depends on if you're OK getting a 5* you don't want. If you're clearing content just fine and/or you need to save for a different 5*, just hold on to your primogems. If you have enough Starglitter, you can also buy him from the shop this month.
