Dimash is without question the best singer we have today.. the best all the way back through all of antiquity. Every song he sings conjures up moments in our past that have given us grace.. or regret.. but belonging to us alone and as personal and as private as only we could possibly know. Dimash is one of a kind with the ability to dig deep within our souls to remind us of who we were.. and who we are now. Once you listen to him sing.. he will never leave you... ever. If you sat by yourself with a good speaker or head phones.. alone.. with no one to speak to except yourself.. and listened to this piece.. you'd be ready to ride into battle on your charoite to conquer the world! I am 81.. and hell bent on joining the battle.. lets go!! "Olimpico," also known as "Ogni Pietra," or "Every Stone," was first performed in Italian by Dimash at the opening of the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus, on June 21, 2019, and yes, it is a battle cry aimed to inspire athletes at the upcoming games. They chose Igor Krutoy, the famous Russian composer, to write a special song and for Dimash to sing it to inspire and stimulate teams from all over Europe to do their best and give the games their all. That inspiration is exactly what he gives us when we watch this performance. You can easily find the English translation for “Olimpico” in Google search. The lyrics, and the song, are epic.
