Looks great. I guess everyone’s different. Those creases look permanent with some skin damage (hyperpigmentation). I guess he chose his pleasure. I would think he would rather have healthy skin then wavy hair.

I used to get crease like that until I learned to flatten out the tie straps instead of leaving them rolled up. They roll up naturally, so you gotta intentionally unroll and flatten them once you've tied on your durag nice and tight. 💯👍🏾

Man this guy has some good genes. To still have that hair at his age and its full on top of that..salute! Sidenote Im sort of a waver by chance not on purpose. I have to lay my hair down after a wash because it stands up so much. And after a while of brushing my hair in a certain direction I kinda just kept with it. Anyway I dont like behive crown patterns. Behive patterns look too much like bald spots. I always try to close my crown as best as I can. You did an excellent job on this cut. Im definitely considering getting a detachable clipper after this

Don’t know if we should call good genes as just having hair. What the face and body look like? That is the determining factor of good genes. My father is 60 and is built like an athlete. Think Shannon Sharp. Remember, that high testosterone is what takes your hair.

They also use studies of those trans genders who started getting T treatments and those transgenders who wanted to go from female to male started losing hair. Also the case studies of body builders (both natty and enhanced) either higher testosterone levels were either thinning or completely bald at certain ages. Good genes, however, is mostly determined by how one looks in old age, PHYSICALLY. Also by functionality and/or performance.

Some people just get the cheat code, like those who are born with a higher metabolism and could eat almost anything and not gain much weight if any at all. Moreover, to be fair it looks like the old man just takes care of his hair and keeps it covered. Taking care of yourself is key overall.

Man, it's so interesting to hear you talk about your process and the decisions you make while cutting. I don't know shit about shit, but the way you talk about cutting hair made me realize it's an actual art. You can't just do the same thing every time, you really need to know your client's hair and how ot grows and how they care for it and quite a few things, to really decide what's gonna work best for them. This is fascinating. I really had no idea. Respect, man. You're a true artist.

I need a hands on clipper class from you. Great technique and you explain clearly. I do locs and have some clients with undercuts or line ups and i send them to a barber to be super crispy. I need to keep it all in house.
