Yep, I feel you!! I did French for four years in high school, and when I went to France on a school trip, it certainly helped a tiny bit - even tho every single French person laughed at me, I could buy stuff in a shop and ask for directions etc 😂😂🤷‍♂️ But my accent was rubbish, and I have forgotten everything in just a few years - I cannot say anything behind bonjour, au revoir- oh, and hours of conjugating verbs crammed that in to my brain, so I can still do that - je vais, tu vas…!! Useless, that’s me…🙈 I think we teach second, third languages very badly at school

Like I feel, after seeing more recent clips, they more so choose to speak Korean so they can give their most honest answers- but they probably could piece something together in many different scenarios and could make it places without Joon at this point. Most of the time when they speak in other languages, it’s scripted and they practice it. They get interview questions ahead of time and they each have a specific question to answer unlike RM who is fluent and can answer the questions that aren’t scripted. They also plan their concert remarks. On day 4 of the PTD concert JK spoke in Korean because he said he had too many feelings to speak in English. He’s also mentioned how RM amazes him because he speaks so well without a script. They’ve mentioned before when RM makes a speech in English, they don’t always understand what he’s saying but they feel his emotion behind it and that’s what they understand most, his emotions not his actual words.
