Retired GM Master mechanic. After turning wrenches for close to 50 years my tools are in my home garage. I specialized in steering, brakes, and suspension. The amount of special tools required to cover these areas was considerable. The last 7 years I worked in a shop where I had to keep my main toolbox {Mac MB1700} locked up. As a mechanic I understood tools was very expensive, when you had to re-buy them because someone borrowed them and did not return it, they were more expensive. Very impressive set. Thank for the tour.
Probably one of if not the largest box tour I've seen, and I know that's not everything. Thanks for sharing, I enjoy your videos.
Nice to know someone else has a flashlight problem! Haha thanks for sharing your knowledge with everyone!
Awesome collection sir, want to see the retired tools box next
That is a small fortune right there! I love tools!
This inspirational. I think I’ll organize my toolbox today
Thanks for the tour
Loved to see the old craftsman 1/2” ratchet! I have the same one that was my dad’s from 30-40 years ago. Still works great. I’ve got lots of new tools, but those old classics that were handed down are a favorite. Thanks for sharing!
enjoy the tour, being that I am 77 a lot of the old school stuff I used or wanted. Love the channel keep them coming..
Awesome tool box tour--most impressive!
Appreciate the tour.
Thanks for sharing the toolbox video. "You just never know". That's the tool buyer's justification to get a new tool. I do the same thing and it's true.
Thanks for sharing. Love seeing the tool collections of professional auto mechanics. Your collection is very impressive.
Liked to see the old Harley head wrench! Some people called them old truck door hinge wrenches. thanks for the tour!
Nice looking box. I love the color!
I’ve been waiting for this forever. I’m about to be ordering a Mr. Big myself
In May of 2024 I will have been a certified mechanic for 40 years but my Matco toolbox is not nearly that size. You must have at least $500,000 in tools. I chose to buy myself a 2009 997.2 Porsche 911 instead. Great video as always. Have a great day from San Luis Obispo California. And yes I agree with the Nissan comment that they will put a 10mm bolt in a really tight spot. I recently upgraded to the power probe 4 from the 1.

Clutch head screwdriver. Generally used on Holley 4160 carburetors or removing cabinets from house trailers or factory built homes 😉😉
Now that's how a "Toolbox Flex" is done...beautiful setup. on old tools we all keep...I still have my first husky tools my father bought me at thirteen years old and Toyota tool set they used to come standard with my first new car, 1974 celica gt.

Thanks for the tool box tour, i am becoming an LED light collector now that i have slowed down in my retirement, i still have my 2 lead lights one incandescent and one a quarts halogen that probably nobody will ever use again!.

It made my day to see you gently closing the drawers. My work box is also kind of a community box and I yell at my guys all the time for slamming the drawers.
“Not gonna organize right now” proceeds to organize 😂
That black hawl set is awesome for wrenchs
Outstanding collection of tools, and with organization like that, you better believe that the work product is done to mill spec.

Sometimes I find a cardboard box that fits in the drawer is the best organizer, especially for the extensions.

Love your tool set. I've been a mechanic since 1980. We have basically the same things😊 All I do now is mostly front ends and brakes. I still have all of my tools from the 80's. I love my tools. Still buying more. Love your channel. Love your experience. Love your wisdom. I truly miss old school mechanics. Old school mechanical machines. And I miss using my fractional tools. there's two approaches to the tool game ... A. get it when you NEED it ... B. get it BEFORE you need it ... (careful distinguishing WANT from need)

Wow. That's a lot of tools. Can you make a video about the Otofix? What model is it? Do you like it?

I find other people's toolbox and how their organization works for them very interesting. Thanks for sharing! Not sure if its been mentioned but bad idea to keep those batteries plued in unattended. Been knowen to cause fires. Just throwing it out there..nice setup 😎.
My solution for storing extensions is the 18 inch bar magnets from harbor freight, they’re like $2 a piece. Screw 3 of em’ to the wall a few inches apart above one another where the longer heavier extensions are being held up by 3 magnets.
@TracyCorbett
Ай бұрын
I use those magnetic bars everywhere too. I pick up another 5 or 6 every time they go on sale for a couple bucks each. I need to be able to see everything I use the most or I forget I have them, so I do a lot of magnetic hanging to save space and make sockets, adapters, extensions, picks, even ratchets etc visible at a glance
That is Nirvana to me. $500,000+ in tools and roll-aways. Hopefully you can write them off over time. When I was spooling-up as a AME, I couldn't write-off my tools - but that's up here in the Democratic Peoples Republik of Kanada.
A whole lot of $$$ invested in tools and diag equipment, really nice display.
