Detroit is one terrible place, roads are horrible. Driving in Detroit is worse than Chicago. All the truck stops are dirty. Don’t drink the water, to close to Flint. Awesome to see trucking vids again. Dave, Vasiliy Agiy, and the Joy of Trucking are the three that got me interested in trucking. Keep them going Dave.

Anyone else notice that yellow contraption at the beginning of Chewy where they pulled in. They are ready for snow. If I’m not mistaken that cleans the snow off the trailers. Every truck stop where there’s snow needs them.

Fire marshal at chewy must be a super plush job. Does explain why every dog I have ever had gets so excited whenever he seen a fire hydrant.

Backing a trailer takes time, you learn when and where to pivot and turn, not to over steer as much, I've drove otr for 12 years and I still catch myself oversteering at times. Personally, I've never liked driving late into the night, I can't speak for other drivers, but I avoid trying to pile in a truck stop late, I prefer an off ramp.

I've been watching yall for about a month now I've went back and watch some older videos as well. I think you two work well together. My husband and I are looking into doing team driving so I'm just Observing everything right now. We have some things we need to take care of before we commit to a training school, but I'm excited to start a new career we both have worked at a Texas prison for 21 years and retired early a few years back ( we started young we're not at retirement age fyi) so we thought we would look into truck driving. If you have any advice we would love to hear it. We have had a few companies reach out like werner and Crest and a few others . We haven't gotten back with anyone yet we're just looking and checking out things well be ready around January. I've enjoyed you're videos.

I've seen trucks hit those poles plenty of times it keeps us towing operators in business. But that's a easy job for a rotator if the trailer is empty

A lot of the roads and hwys in Michigan are rough. I always have stuff that I have stored up on the top bunk where the mattress should be thrown out onto the floor and passenger seat. Thanks MI !

Hey Dave, you guys were not in Detroit. Taylor is a suburb. And yep, Michigan roads do suck. Next time y'all are in Taylor, let me me know, we would love to take y'all out to lunch/dinner if there's time. We got a lot of good eats here in Taylor

Amazing how so many people show up after the fact. It's sad how many people will actually watch something like this happen and laugh or criticize the Driver etc. Not stating y'all did that here... I've seen videos of drivers recording footage like that. Nonetheless; G.O.A.L. Drivers. I don't care how much experience you have It's still worth doing. I saw an old timer that had to back into a very difficult spot with extremely limited space and there was construction where you'd pull forward normally to make it easier. They had a major hole dug so pulling into construction wasn't an option. Driver ended up doing damage unfortunately. Lessons to be learned:1) G.O.A.L as many times as it takes. 2) Don't feel ashamed to ask for help.. He had a beautiful Antique customer rig. I was checking out or would have helped him. I know how difficult it was because I had to get into roughly the same spot without help and G.O.A.L numerous times. I think it was one Door difference. Sometimes just stretching my body and getting a breath of fresh Air on my face etc rejuvenates me to make parking easier especially after a long drive. ~Stay Safe y'all!

Dude, I spent a lot of time in the Taylor yard running Ford in and out of Canada. That yard was dirt and tiny back in the day, no room…they would take us to the Super 8 down the road (if you wanted, $40 a night) to stay the night and we would get a free meal at the steak joint next door. Was nice to stay a nite on the weekend then back in to Canada to pickup and go to Kansas City….

Saw a white CFI truck on the expressway in NYC on Saturday with the roof of his trailer peeled all the way back, don't know what he hit, but he definitely wasn't having a good day.

I got a good suggestion for y'all guys we all guys are doing a delivery you all guys slide you all tandems all the way back cuz that's what my dad did when he was doing reefer for parkway and it allowed him to park in tight spaces better

Taylor Michigan terminal is the most quietest terminal I've been to..and it's good area too a lot of stores a d restaurants near by..did my 34 there two weeks ago

Even terminal washers/dryers get nasty so I only do my laundry at home. I roll with clothes for a month stored in bins in my upper bunk in case I stay out that long.

Never knew that about canned air, but it makes sense. You could also see if you could get a needle for your secondary air thing under the seat. I know it defeats the purpose of not needing a needle, but just a thought.

Great video. My company also offers free laundry machines at all of our terminals. We’ve got about 23 terminals across the US, and 1 in Ontario Canada. That drive must have been hauling a$$ in the parking lot to get stuck on a pole like that. The drivers need to go slow and pay attention to their surroundings. I can honestly say that I’ve never done that in my 24 years behind the wheel. But I have see it happen to several drivers. Have fun in Massachusetts. Stay safe, stay healthy and That’s Truckin...

I smoked a granite block on my right side turning a tight right hand corner once when I was inexperienced. My boss was thrilled. I was delivering a Arial lift on a landoll. For some reason one of the other drivers insisted we used a condo so he could pull over and sleep in it about once every two years. We are always making deliveries in tight spaces not designed for truck traffic and have a daycab now. So much easier. The other guy whined and bitched about not having a sleeper for local delivery of equipment, I told him now you get to stay in a hotel. I'm not blaming the truck for my collision but it sure is nice to have a back window for tight spaces
