My husband and i just went full time not to long ago. Health issues and physical injuries caused us to work towards this goal for 2 years. Apart, from wanting to be our own boss, we also didn't want to wait until the retirement age to be free for corporate america, we wanted the freedom to enjoy our lives now. We used to work 10-13 hrs a day each, made good money, but at the expense of our marriage and family. We are thankful, we made this decision as everyday is a wonderful adventure that we experience together.

@MrPaulMorris Жыл бұрын
A nice breakdown of likely income for Dave. It's good to remember that income is more than just eBay! There are many streams that can complement reselling. Last time I was reselling full time, I also did one to one tuition in IT and workshop skills--my background as a commercial trainer and radio/systems engineer helped out there--and having 4 or 5 hours a week doing something different helped to keep me from going crazy with eBay as it changed every day (back in the 'wild west' days 20+ years ago). Later on I went into disk-based training courses--my best selling product back then was a study package for the UK Citizenship Test that shipped by the sack load! Now, as I look forward to going back to full time-just as soon as my current employers pull the plug on their dying business--I have a little less pressure as I already draw a number of pensions from previous careers. One point to remember when moving from part time to full time, which wasn't mentioned in the video, is that you don't just need to match your previous salaried income but also whatever you were earning from your reselling. For example, if you were earning $100k gross from employment and $25k from the side hustle, you need to grow the reselling income to $125k, not $100k, to have the same gross income. There are, of course, complications in adjusting for benefits (at least here in the UK we don't need to worry about health insurance!) but the basic idea stands and is often overlooked by those looking to go full time.

Also who cares if he doesn’t make as much , I’m glad he is pursuing something he loves and enjoys! I’m sure he was saving a good amount of money making 6 figures. On top of that he has already been doing all the reselling stuff making another flow of income. I think this was a move for mental/family needs! Shoot now he can spend time at home and around family and enjoy it.

Love it. I'm not going to become a full time reseller but what I've noticed is that you have to understand what you're doing like you said. You can easily get into a tough spot by buying stuff that may have slight value but sells so slow. All the small purchases could easily add up and then you're stuck with a bunch of slow selling "junk".

Great info. Thank you. I have thought long and hard about following Dave's footsteps, leaving a good paying job to resell FT. My PT eBay game is decent: approx 1 sale per day @$73/transaction and an 80% sell through. But I have no social presence and support a family of 3 as sole income earner. Time to get on YT and whatnot. 😊

Another great video! I follow Dave and have been since he flipped in NC. He lived about 35 miles from me at that time. I have to admire him for taking the leap and going full time in what he loves to do. He can now spend more time with his family while the kids are at the age to appreciate him more!! I never had the courage to quit my Civil Service job and follow my dream and it is too late now. Dave is funny and serious all at the same time and I wish him the best. You and Haley are doing a great job too!! Best wishes to you two and Dave!!

Great video - I had no idea he would be bringing in that much from such a "small" youtube channel. Add in his salary to these numbers and he was really rolling in the dough for the past couple years. So he is essentially going from 200k plus down to 100k, which may hurt in the short term. Hopefully he can continue to grow, but if not, I'm sure he can find another similar job to get again. Also COG wasn't really added to this video. Growing in reselling means growing your spending as well. Gota spend money to make money!! Awesome video!

I’m already subscribed to Dave and really enjoy his channels and his self-depreciating and humble sense of humour. Also his transparency. He films great family times and I think they’re all going to benefit from him spending more time with them. All in all he’s a loyal friend to have, and I love his videos of his mom picking with him! So cool. Thanks for highlighting him in your video, helps with the naysayers for sure. Meanwhile…I’m hoping Hayley is having a great mission trip! I’m sure you and Moze are missing her! ♥️
You break, you buy!! If it were me bumping into those tumblers, every one of them would have fallen and no less than 5 would have busted. Enjoying the content Josh.
I'm guessing @ADHDave will make more than this amount. When he's going full force, he'll up his game even more. Love his channels.
Became a member of his a few days ago, love to watch his journey and happy to support such a jovial guy through a crazy scary period in life.
Awesome fines at the flea market as usual! Thanks Josh for your daily videos, I enjoy them, informative and educational. I wish the best for Dave! And a safe return for Hayley! Blessings
Been loving the content this week 🙌🏽 thanks for spoiling us with extra vids & streams
Love your interactions…..kindness goes a long way…thanks for the videos!
you really take care of business Josh! you and Haley are an inspiration! thank you. and GOD bless you both.
I agree with your assessment of Dave. He is just beginning and I think he will be very successful. Thanks for another great video and content.
Great video Josh! Really enjoyed the breakdown for Dave; I think he made the right choice.
I found this video very interesting! Thank you for breaking down income when doing the whole social media thang, etc.
The Schrute water backpack 🙌🏻 Those of us who are busy require hands-free hydration
When you said you like hitting golf balls into the woods I totally thought of Gomez Addams hitting golf balls into the neighbors house haha "Addams!"
I found him cuz of you and your right i love the first video so i went back and watch a bunch more! Great to see you help others Cheers
Thank you for the great content. And thanks for taking the time to do a video every day while Hayley is away. Really enjoying it. I have to say though, as much as I love you and Hayley, Mose is clearly the star of the show here. I just love him so very much. Makes me want a golden. He's got the best disposition of any one I've seen. Goldens in general are great dogs but, he is top notch. And his sound effects when he responds to you just make my day.

@@HairyTornado oh, and btw, I discovered ADHDave because of you and Kevin, and now have added another channel to my flippin adventure watchin obsession. lol I'm sure you guys are helping him gain a lot of subscribers. I really enjoy him and think he's gonna have no problem growing his business.
I watch Dave as well. Very happy for him. I am just starting to do this myself and it's because of a horrific fire we had -- lost my only daughter (only child) and everything we had - house etc (insurance is not what we all think ) and now my other half has cancer. I need to be available for him. I am just starting out but I have no choice so I am hoping that this will push me along. Staying positive. Thx for your great videos!

@@HairyTornado Thank you for your kind words.
Love that you are putting content out every day this week!
Love it. I'm not going to become a full time reseller but what I've noticed is that you have to understand what you're doing like you said. You can easily get into a tough spot by buying stuff that may have slight value but sells so slow. All the small purchases could easily add up and then you're stuck with a bunch of slow selling "junk".
Another great video. Lots of information and upbeat as always.
Thanks for sharing! Wow some nice finds at the flea market, plus the extras when leaving.😊 God bless stay safe until the next video 💓 😍
"I'm a little boogie though" you a child of a King, it's all good. Blessings Shirlene 💜
How to lure a thrifter to your car to kidnap them.. tell them you have a lot plush in your trunk.

Oh is that a squirtle ?! *gets bonked on the head*
Señor Tornado - We both started our renovations at roughly the same time. While you're doing a lot yourself, it does bring me confidence that I'm close to the same stage you are even with me having hired professional help. Will it ever end? Sure wish I could have done it for $20 lol
I am planning on doing the same thing that you are doing right now. I am going to wait until I retire first. That way I have a steady income and insurance. I have only 2 1/2 year's left. For now I buy at yard sales and sell at the flea market and I love it.
Congratulations to you both. Happy for you.
Wish him luck! He seems to know what he’s doing and I’m sure his audience will grow much bigger now that he’s focused on KZread and his reselling business
“You’ll have to ask him. I don’t want to get involved in his personal business” 😂😂😂
I just watched him for the first time in you tube thrifting ..... You are correct he is a good watch. He is also very honest when he makes a mistake. Definitely a good you tuber to subscribe to for flipping. Seems like such a sweet guy.
Love the sit down breakdown
Great info.
Love the video. The best thing about reselling is the random parking lot deals that happen. You never know what you will find.
DAMN!! What a shout out for Dave. My trun😁👍
Very interesting analysis - thanks
Moes cracks me up! I also love this series with the rental home.
Always great to see people taking the leap to pursue something they enjoy and making good money while doing so!
I’m sure Dave appreciates your breaking this down for him, it’s reassuring he did the right thing!😊
I use golf balls especially with cuts etc for target practice at 100 yds with my 22 it’s challenging and 25 yards to more with a pistol quite challenging
About Dave, not everything is about money. Sometimes is about peace of mind. That happened to me. ❤
Great video as always!
I really enjoy your content! Thanks for the inspiration!
Great video IV been following both of you since almost the beginning
Great video - I had no idea he would be bringing in that much from such a "small" youtube channel. Add in his salary to these numbers and he was really rolling in the dough for the past couple years. So he is essentially going from 200k plus down to 100k, which may hurt in the short term. Hopefully he can continue to grow, but if not, I'm sure he can find another similar job to get again. Also COG wasn't really added to this video. Growing in reselling means growing your spending as well. Gota spend money to make money!! Awesome video!

People really underestimate how much you can make with a small channel.
"I'm a little bougie though". hahah. Love your channel. Thanks!
I made 2 sales today Josh! nothing close to what you and H do, but i'm proud of myself! working on my rent for August 😊

You are still the nicest guy on KZread!!
Another great video from you, but then they are all that way. It never ceases to amaze me the number of plushes you sell and the amount of money you get for them. Say 'HI' to Mose. He makes (and steals) the show just by putting in an appearance. Can't help but love that dog. :) :)
I’m relatively new to this channel and I now understand why it’s called Hairy Tornado. You are FAST 💨
I happen to love Dave and you too!
Awesome video. Chock full of info. Ty for sharing. I'm sharing.
The cross-posting to Mercari line is underrated 🤣🤣
Love the parking lot hustle!!!
I am rooting for Dave.
Toys R Us kept a website, and started reopening more in person stores in '22. I'm glad they're back for the kids.
I WATCH DAVE NC PICKER AND YOU JOSH, YOU GUYS ARE GREAT KZreadRS. KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB
Great video- done like an actuary!
The way you didn’t pick the last M&M yellow guy haha! My OCD 😭😂
excellent break down
I remember that video when you said you'd been fired, and how stunned you were. You looked almost lost, saying that you'd have to make it selling full time. So sad. But, boy oh boy, did you come roaring back!
I love the Lynx club. I have a 9 iron I use out of the sand. It’s great!
Great video, inspiring.
Enjoyed the flea market interactions
I did the same, I left my job for this, never have any money but I enjoy it. Plus I have the Vintage Toy Store online that helps.
Making connections in the parking lots. 😂 That's networking. Sweet deal.
hope dave does well i like him and the commonwealth flipper channels

Great video….interesting seeing your views of friend going full time. Went over to his channel and subscribed…. Sounds like he is on his way to success. You are a prince of a guy to encouraging him and sharing in general with us. Did I miss something…are you inventory out of your garage and well as/or no longer out of the larger processing building?
I thought that was great that Mose reminded you about Dave cross posting on Mercari!!!!
JOOOSH you are such a cool guy with this unique and fresh video and storytelling style!! Iam fangirling over here in germany since 2 years, greets and best wishes
