Refusing to get with the program because you think it should be different is rarely productive. In the case of the uploader he probably just didn't think of it becoming an issue.

That's a bad attitude, and it's probably exactly what the programming wants you to think, assume things their way. It's cheeky of them to do what they did, they knew that it would get in the way of the end of the video and ruin it, and yet, they still fucking did it. They might run the show around here but they are nothing without us, this is obvious. Without us there is no youtube, now that's the right attitude to be spreading.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday after watching another run. Would be great to have rear-facing cameras also and show them as a Picture in Picture window so what's going on behind as well as in front of the rider. That and I've noticed some riders don't have their front-facing camera facing up enough so we can't see very far ahead of them. That said, this was an absolutely amazing run! Damien has the endurance of a horse! I'm also surprised that parts of this run, especially the beginning with all the steep switch-backs were part of a qualifier track and not a main event. Crazy stuff!

Dude I helped you as much as I could by leaning my phone in your direction of movement....

Pity he kept on cutting the video when he ran into people and either tehy fell (him bullying his way past) or they both fell (because he was incapable of keeping out of the way - control - and coming from behind too fast to slow down enough). A bit of a bully this guy.

This reminds me of what I wish I told myself to do for the last fifteen years, and didn't because of some"thing" else... I am crying.. This was the best effort I've seen someone strive for ever. Thank you. :'(

I was worried all the time that we are gonna hit something or miss the turn because of limited vision ;-) I was so hard trying to look up that end up with headache.

Amazing display of no fear riding! Your passing skills, ability to make your own line (when there isn't one)to pass when everyone is haulin' balls out rates 2 thumbs up and a subscribe from the ol' dog!

How does this guy put a jersey on, his heart is so big! Amazing to watch. I only wish there was a rear view camera so we could see how fast he drops these guys after passing them.

Thanks for taking us with you with your amazing MTB adventure!!! I’m looking forward to the next video!!

ADZ It's almost impossible to win if you're last line. The seeded riders are in the first line and they're almost certainly going to be fast already. If you're last line you have to make your way through all the slower riders and in the meantime the seeded 1st line riders are out of there. Dunno if you noticed, but in the beginning when he was being slowed by others it was because there were so many he couldn't pass. In the end it was because they were almost the same speed and sometimes didn't let him pass.

As a road guy, I’m used to seeing the climb up to Huez, not the descent down to it. I guess there’s no way to ride into that town that doesn’t require you to be an absolute beast!

adam smith actually wrong. It's only irrelevant when there is no friction. A heavier rider will go a little bit faster than a lighter one because the aerodynamic drag does not increase linear with weight. Maybe +30% weight means +30% gravitational force but only increases drag by 10% (frontal area will not increase by 30%).
