Brendan writes about their wedding, “What excites me is that it is a celebration of years of hard work and commitment to each other. We are truly winners, and this is our victory lap. All of our guests are so genuinely happy for us and will be there for us for many years. We will get to show off our outfits, our dance moves, speeches from our close friends and family and our big smiles. We are most excited about dancing with everyone at the end of the night and also dances that we practiced with special people. (Bride and Groom learned a very cool special dance for their entrance into the reception.)”
Brendan continues, “Nonny and I met on one of the first days of sophomore year of college at University of Maryland. We were both walking back from our club soccer practices with a small group of friends and we ended up walking next to each other for a bit. We saw each other more through mutual friends and started sitting next to each other in our psychology class later that year and walked back from class together often. We gradually became closer through lots of hangouts over the years and finally friendship turned into dating our senior year. Nonny is so special to me because she gives great hugs and her smile lights up every room she is in. She is someone that I can learn more and more about every day, even after 13 years knowing her. She is someone that I enjoy sharing with because she is so kind to others and has a selfless approach to the world. It is easy to want to see her smile and do well. ”
Together Brendan and Nonny enjoy playing soccer together, walking around their neighborhood in Brooklyn, going to the farmers market, chilling and dancing to music in their apartment.
They laugh at Brendan singing poorly or singing made up songs, at lots of inside jokes about silly things, at made up scenarios about their future selves or their family and friends, or old stories.
