"He Knew What He Was Doing!” | Former Met Detective Chief Inspector CONDEMNS Nottingham Killer
The sentence of a man who stabbed three people to death in Nottingham and injured others, has been ruled not unduly lenient by the Court of Appeal.
Valdo Calocane killed students Barnaby Webber and Grace O'Malley-Kumar and caretaker Ian Coates in June 2023.
Calocane was given an indefinite hospital order after prosecutors accepted a plea of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
Former Metropolitan Police Detective Chief Inspector, Simon Harding thinks that police offers who work on cases such as this get annoyed when offenders are given a hospital order.
Harding says: "He knew what he was doing and he knew what wrong was.”
Jeremy Kyle says: "I think it's brilliant as a society we are talking about mental health more than ever, but I think we are now in a world where that can be used as part of a defence.”

He's so screwed up but he knew not to attack any of his tribe.
And don't forget the attempted murder of the 3 survivors
What is our country coming too.disgraceful
This is typical Britain right now where the authority’s are trying hard to show complete uselessness and doing a great job at it, these people who allowed this murderer to walk the streets should be named and shamed and at very least be charged them selfs sorry does not cut this’ it would be a completely different matter if it was a police officer or judge he would not see light of day again disgusting behaviour you couldn’t make this country any more dangerous.
He’ll be out in 10 years when the dust settles and they all know it!.

You don't know what a defence, at law, is do you? It only went to mitigation. But the pub is not the same as a decent Law School.
Mamby pamby justice coz "he's not well" bollox
Indeed. He know ,what he's was doing! To me,it's looks like some kind of corruption.
Keep throwing medical health
im schitzo m voices in my head to save the world be a do gooder etc LOL so f ing odd voices in head to kill; just amazes me
Wasn't it Barnaby's mother who, shortly after it happened, said publicly "don't look back in anger" or words to that effect? I remember it because it sounded like she was given a script to read from the police.

Yes ALL the parents went along with the media bullshit. No one in the media want to mention him and didnt even want to name him never mind condem him. I was so wanting the parents to show how angry they were at the time they did eventually when they found out the media and the police FAILED their loved ones since they gave that monster bail and then fail to execute an arrest warrant KNOWING HIS HISTORY . It was then the parents started to kick off
Clearly malice aforethought; he lay in wait with a lethal weapon and a plan.
The truth is it does not matter if he was convicted for murder or a hospital order. The offender has a serious mental health problem and if he did go to prison the prison staff would not be able to manage him and they would send him to a secure mental health facility.
A Foreign National who managed to pass a degree Course in Mechanical engineering at a Nottingham University, it does not sound like it, that he has a mental illness? He seemed to know exactly what he was doing? he chose to smoke Cannibis which causes psychosis? he would have enough intelligence to know this? he has to be responsible for his actions!
How long has he been living in the UK and how did he pass the vetting process
strange
The miscreant clearly had malice aforethought. He lay in wait with a lethal weapon and a plan.
A suitable ethnic diversity candidate for Nottinghamshire police?
Two tier policing and the usual suspects
Ofc he did.3 murders and 3 attempted murders.and he be out in 5 to 7 years ffs.and they say that's justice
I remember all the speeches from the family & that didn’t sit right with me,just my opinion.I think we should bring back the DP ,there is no way he needs to be in hospital,he’s evil ,end of ..those kids should still be here. This is what we all do every day we go for a bus we are sitting duck
This man's enduring mental torment is enough of a life sentence. I despair of the lack of people's empathy and understanding of serious mental illness. It is a very real and very tragic thing. It is not an "excuse" or a "mental health card". But if people don't suffer with serious mental health illness themselves, they seem very willing to condemn others who have it. That is shameful. God help you if you or your family member falls prey to this kind of illness.

His "mental illness" cost 3 other people their lives. Where's YOUR empathy for them and their familys? Save you hand wringing and please. People like you are the reason this country is the joke it is now.

I worked within the sphere of mental health, and some people were extremely clever and manipulative, and were able to fool the psychiatrists. They had no qualms about lying and could turn the waterworks on and off at will. Great acting skills and no empathy or remorse.

Jiminy Vyle trying to take the moral high ground? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It’s not his fault he’s got issues bless him and the people he killed can be blamed for this as they should have stayed clear

There is extensive information about him available. As someone with an hons degree in psychology and a masters in behavioural science, it looks like this man should never be on the streets again. He is getting a softer sentence than if he were to be tried in court. Plenty of others i have spoken to certainly are questioning the decisions made. There is no exact measurement of intention after attempts at rehabilitation, its important to study the facts presented. He certainly had the cognitive processes and fortitude to plan, execute and subsequently show no remorse.
