    I'm not a guy, and I don't have this texture hair. But cleanliness aside -- there is something so therapeutic about having your hair washed by someone. I don't understand why a barber shop wouldn't have a sink. For generations men have been going to the barber shop for a shave because it feels good to have another human being help care for you. Even primates have figured this out!

    Yes I agree I ended up with excema on my scalp and couldn’t get the cream on the scalp right to get it to heal so got all my hair cut off ( and I am a woman ) after a few months of scalp treatment I got that cleared up and then my hair grew in again and never had that problem again, My hair is good now thick and styled simple. This is one good looking young man. With this new style. This man has scars on his face so I am wondering it he doesn’t have a bit of excema to his face and scalp. Hope he is able to get a handle on it.

I am white and had a daughter with very very tight curls and my hair is poker straight I took her to a bigger centre than where we lived and looked for a black hair stylist to help me give this child the healthiest hair and scalp that I could . How to comb it out properly ect. Get products to help out. She was about two years old and that poor child had me and I had no clue. It was the best money I had ever spent. You have to go to an expert on the different kinds of hair and I felt the best lessons I got for this child was a lady that had some ideas for me. Now this baby is 34 years old and her hair dresser is a black lady. She says mom some white hair dressers have no clue how to cut or style my hair and I totally agree . No one in my family had hair like her so there was no help from anyone and no black folks living in our small community. I needed help

    @@nukenubz5087 I found out that (probably) the root cause was chlorine in the water. Officially, no chlorine was added to the local tap water. But I kept on asking, until I finally got a couple to spill the beans. Yes, they would add chlorine as needed (e.g. after really bad storms). They just thought it was in such minuscule amounts, nobody would notice. Further cementing that as fact is that my rashes (mostly) went away when we moved into a place getting water from our own well. So, please make sure you get to the root of the problem and find out what sets your skin off. It might be your hair care products, it might be your favorite beanie, it might be something you eat or drink. Or it could be the water itself. Everything you use on a regular basis could be the culprit. As a first step, from my own experience I would suggest you buy scent free products. Including laundry detergent. If you can, see a good dermatologist (most I met were quacks, so there is that). If you don't have the money or time, try to find out by eliminating things. Do so one thing at a time, and give it at least several weeks before you go on to the next. Start with things you suspect, first (you probably have noticed a pattern?). And sometimes it can be a combination of elements, so you might see slight improvement if you eliminate X, but still suffer from most of the symptoms. Then keep digging. I hope you will get better soon. Please, don't give up hope.

    Psoriasis is horrible and it is an Autoimmune disorder. My grandmother use to say all good health begins in the gut, if the gut bacteria is bad it comes out in the biggest organ in your body...the skin! Feed the gut microbiome with fermented food, ditch wheat and sugar and take cold pressed castor oil at least once a week. Use products free from SLS, fragrance and colourants for daily to regular washing to minimise scalp irritations. Put castor oil on the scalp before washing preferably overnight and add a little to the scalp every day.

Then his scalp was free for a medicated shampoo and oil for a refresh or retwist. We used the As I Am dandruff (blue label) shampoo and oil. It helped with breakouts in between. He even used it in his beard and around his ears. Looking at his redness his skin is about to go crazy. I recommend the line

His skin flaking ended up not being a major problem for you I noticed. You sure have the "fade" down pat! It's a process but you have all you need to "get there." I am glad you discussed the importance of washing the head as part of it all. As a woman, I would never get my hair done without a wash. Many older women get their hair done once a week, and it is the only time they do have their hair washed, and styled. I am happy to take care of my own hair :). Yes I ended up with a bad case of excema on my scalp and I cut my hair all off kinda of like this guy but not styled like this as he is a man and I am a woman. Could put the cream on as directed by a dermatologist and got it healed up and hair grew back and it was good to go.

    Is the red part of his scalp a fungal infection?

  • @sharonbrown6595

    @sharonbrown6595

    4 ай бұрын

    @@tmiller9197 I think myself it could be eczema . I saw his forehead and he had marks like he might have some eczema He should have seen a doctor maybe a dermatologist before taking all his hair off. But I know I took all my hair off because I had a bad case of eczema one time to just get the cream on properly . The dermatologist didn’t tell me to cut it but I did, Eczema can get infected but hard to say when we don’t get to see his scalp directly.

    Damn good transformation. He’s definitely gonna have a much healthier scalp and then if he wants to do dreads again he will have a good canvas to work on. Plus if he maybe has the dreads done a bit different then his scalp can continue to remain healthy if possible. Looks amazing.

Thank you for being a professional and also caring barber. 🥰 PS: I did subscribe AND like. 😊

    I have that issue. I just cut my locks a few months ago after about 11 years. My scalp was worse before i started locking my hair. Once o learned how to take better care, it started the fade away. For me any kind of oil triggered my scalp and made it worse. So i would only use oil for like a hot oil treatment or as a pre conditioner before i washed my hair. The only products i can use have to be protroleum based
