Depends on what someone defines as being alcoholic. I've known a person that considered anyone that would regularly go out with friends(not every day) for drinks but not get wasted(even being responsible about it) as being too much drinking so....seeing how nitpicky the list was there's a good chance it's not truly an accurate unbiased view of OP. We're also not getting a full description of how she behaves day to day even from OPs perspective(however off it might be), but there's plenty more on OP. The reason for not listening to what someone says can make a difference for that one. I'm one that can be a "chatty Cathy" talking too much about things that interest me, and overwhelm people as a result, I can also hyper focus on things to the point of tuning out everything else. The not listening thing is too general to really trust, it'd need to be more specific in how OP doesn't listen to get a real idea of whether it'd be a true red flag.

What kind of person is smart enough to make it through med school, but dumb enough to not only make a list like this, but to actually write out "doesn't wear pink shirts" as a red flag?? Would you trust your doctor if you knew they did this? 😂

Emotional intelligence and in general being a good partner has nothing to do with being intelligent. A person can be absolutely intelligent as a student and all but, be dumb emotionally. Saying this because, my ex was an Ortho resident. Got into med school because of his grades but was so selfish, self centered and didn't give two shits about me. And was an absolute narcissist.

Weird that OP has a "sweet passion for photography" but the GF wrote in the Cons section "has no hobbies like art, photography, not creative". What happened there?

Comments: She keeps saying I don't act my age, but then pulls stuff like this. There have been plenty of times when she broke up with me just because I said that I didn't want to watch the same TV shows as her 100%. She even said my parents can't be associated with and that she doesn't have anything to talk about with my parents because she's a doctor and my parents are not. It broke my heart Looks like she is not attracted to you. The green flags are all materialistic, not about you personally but as an object to use. This list makes me doubt she loves you. My partner has no problem naming good points / green flags about me. Those are all about me, I make her smile, I make her feel safe, She likes my vision for the future and wants to make memories with me... She has found some faults in me but I will not disclose these. 😉😂 Sorry to say, I believe she is just using you. A person who loves you will make a very different pair of lists. Hope this helps. Exactly what I was thinking. It's like there's no emotional connection from her end, and it's pretty heartbreaking that she sees me like I'm some kind of monster. Your response really helped me see things clearly because right now I'm just torn up and can't think straight

I don't think it’s fair to judge someone on private thoughts they didn’t consent to sharing, without them being able to explain or contextualize those thoughts. And they were thoughts she had early on in their relationship, so it’s normal that they changed. Some of her points might reflect the expectations of who her parents or friends expected her to date. Some might’ve been jokes. All of it might’ve been written after a fight. Maybe she cushioned the valid points by adding more shallow points to convince herself he wasn’t that bad, because there are valid points on the cons side. And maybe she genuinely didn’t want to be with him at the time, which is valid. I’m sure he’s had equally unkind private thoughts and annoyances about her too, we all have not so nice thoughts about people in moments of anger. I'm also suspicious of how he found this list, too, coz if what she says about him not paying attention to what she says is true, but he rifled around through her stuff to find out what's on her mind, that’s the biggest red flag

What an immature thing to do

So many red flags and so few green flags and three of the green flags have question marks. It sounds like he is a placeholder relationship for her. I suspect that she will dump him when she meets someone else.

If this was on her own and when they just met, I feel like this could have been jokingly, a lot of those were sarcastic sounding. Unless she is completely insane I would take it as a joke

He says it was 8 months in their relationship, but not for how long they’ve been dating or what she said specifically when he found out about the list. If they’ve been dating for a long time (like, a few years) then *maybe* she grew up and started loving him for who he is, but we can’t tell by what he said about her. The best thing to do is probably for him to talk it out with her and find out if she’s ACTUALLY in love with him and not using him for money, but if he’s too hurt either way he should leave. Honestly why would you even make a list like that that’s crazy to me

Not really, what's weird is that she kept the list. Sometimes you need to write stuff down and get it out of your head but you shouldn't keep it becase This can happen.

Okay a few of them are actual red flags like competing with her when she pours her heart out,alcoholic, gives a hard time about kids But the rest? No girl youre a red flag for thinking that about him. Atp both of them are red flags.

OP shouldn't get mad, he should get even. He should make a list of red flags about her and make sure she "accidently" sees it; let's see how she feels about that. Bottom line, there are going to be things about your mate that you don't care for, but if there are enough green flags there, you're willing to overlook all the flaws. It sounds like she's made her standards too high; the problem with that is she's created an impossible standard for any future mates to live up to, which will eventually lead her to become lonely and miserable in her advanced age. If OP's GF isn't willing to fully accept her BF warts and all, then OP should just dump her like yesterday's garbage.

In the very first story, he has every single right to be hurt, mad, and completely upset with her because I feel like she has been playing him for the longest. Everything that's on her cons list perfectly describes him right down to the t, and if she made that list eight months ago then why does she still have it. She should've been tore it up and gotten rid of it within the the first three weeks of them dating. She doesn't like anything at all about him so then why is she still with him then. It's women like her that p*ss me off because she knew that he wasn't the one for her, but she still chose to pusue a relationship with him and I'm guess until someone better comes along. I don't know at all how these types of women honestly can live with themselves. She should break up with him so that he can find the real right one for him because right now it just seems like she's gold digger. I love you so much my friend!!
