Ойын-сауық

Did you know that Tab Hunter was an American heartthrob despite his closeted sexuality and that he even had his own comic book? Tab Hunter was a Hollywood icon known for his good looks and charming personality. He was also gay but kept his sexuality a secret from the public and his fans for many years. Hunter's life partner was Allan Glaser, a film producer whom he met in the 1980s. The two were together for over 35 years and were married in 2013 after same-sex marriage became legal in California. Glaser was a strong advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights and helped Hunter come out publicly.
Sadly, Tab Hunter passed away in 2018 at the age of 86. However, his legacy as a Hollywood icon and LGBT trailblazer lives on. After his death, Glaser continued to reveal information about Hunter's life and career. He produced a documentary about Hunter's life, called "Tab Hunter Confidential," which was released in 2015. The documentary featured interviews with Hunter and his friends and colleagues and provided a behind-the-scenes look at his life in Hollywood.
Glaser has continued to honor Hunter's memory and promote his work through various projects and events. He has also been a strong advocate for LGBT rights and has worked to raise awareness about the challenges faced by LGBT individuals in Hollywood and beyond. Through his work, Glaser has helped to ensure that Hunter's legacy as a Hollywood icon and LGBT trailblazer will continue to be remembered and celebrated for years to come. I remember watching Confidential on a plane and i was stuck by a couple of things. One, he really was very good looking in a non-made up way - you wouldn't think there was an increible amount of 'work' that went into the look, unlike some of today's stars. Two, he seemed to have lived a fairly charmed life, even with the social stigma attached to being gay in the 50s & 60s. Three, he also seemed like an appealing personality - one who you'd feel fortunate to have as a friend. 87 years - good run: whether he was ready or not, he was probably pretty satisfied with his life, loves and adventures.

I knew he was gay, and I didn't like him. When I saw a fairly lengthy interview of him some years back, I had to change my mind and my appalling judgement of him. He was the nicest, most sensitive, and sincere human being, one could have sat and listened to. Tab Hunter was smart, articulate, caring and gracious in every way. He came over as a polished and refined gentleman, oozing class and dignity. I used to think that homosexual men were all sleaze, wanting endless sex with endless partners. I learnt my lesson after that evening, listening to him in that interview. Never condemn people because they are different, and get to know the human entity they are. You may well acquire valuable and dear friends. Thank you so much for this video .

I once saw Tab Hunter in a Chicago bar in the early 1980s he was there during the time he was promoting the John Waters film with Divine. Couldn't help but notice how handsome he still was in his white shorts and plaid shirt. RIP Tab Hunter

He always had a great reputation that I remember. I never heard of anyone ever speaking bad about him, either the public or the press. I never knew that he was gay, but that really doesn't make a difference. Who care if he was, at the end of the day he was a good person with a good heart. I didn't know that he had a comic book. I really don't remember many of his films. The only film I can remember is the one with Sophia Loren, call "That Kind of Woman". Who can forget Sophia Loren she is a natural beauty and attracted man for decades. RIP: Tab Hunter, born Arthur Andrew Kelm; July 11, 1931 - July 8, 2018, age 86 ✝️

Why are actors shy to come out of the closet even to this day? What's the big deal of being a gay? I personally feel one must be true to his real image and be proud of his sexuality. Just to please a handful of people why should we hide our sexuality....only to be revealed or made public after one's death?

Well there is a lotbof history of anti Gay and lesbians...I recommend looking up "The lavendar scare" It was basically moral panic about homosexual people in the United States government that took place during the 1940s and 1950s...people seem to forget how the cold war and McCarthyism has cause alot of damage and negative influences by having homosexuals looked at as "subversives" who undermined national security and patriotism, and described them as Communist sympathisers

Actors who were gay never used to come out the way many do these days. You have to remember there was little to almost no understanding or even tolerance of homosexual men in the 1950's ,,,60's...and even 70 and 80's. They were not just trying to please a "handful" of people as you state. They were trying to please the millions who were paying the tickets to see these guys on the screen. If they had come out, their careers back then would have been ruined, they would have been over,...... Period.

I’m not enamored with this guy as most others seem to be. He’s pretty phony and didn’t seemed to respect his fans from some of the comments he made such as thinking someone was “another goofy fan”. Thanks to those goofy fans, he was able to enjoy a wealthy life that most of us can only dream of. He doesn’t appear particularly intelligent. His comments lack depth. He repeatedly tells the same stories (re: come from the horse mouth, not the horse’s A) and says everyone is wonderful when describing them.
