his right ramadan u take time off boxing. getting in the shape of your life for a pro fight is silly. as for just keeping fit and keeping conditioning it can be done during ramadan after terawi prayer a quick 45 mins session will keep most of the muscle conditioning. boxers need to be smart how they do things. spencer is right 100 percent.

People kept asking Haney if he was fasting. He was honest and admitted he weren't. I dont see an issue with that. On top of that Haney said in an interview that after this fight he will never miss Ramadan.

You don’t see a problem with it cos you’re not a Muslim. I will break it down for you The five pillars - the declaration of faith (shahada), prayer (salah), alms-giving meaning charity (zakat), fasting (sawm) and pilgrimage (hajj) . Now the fasting is the only thing that you do for God everything else is for yourself. That’s why it is so important to fast in the holy month of Ramadan as a Muslim I hope this clear it up for you ❤

@@SpiritFearon I am a Muslim. I appreciate your comment though. I just believe it is wrong to say God is displeased with him hence the loss. We can't understand the "thought process " of God. Here's an example, Im pretty sure Haney didn't fast for Loma or George Kambosos and won them. So why did God allow him to win those? You see it is a dangerous ground to tread on. As for missing fasts due to work obligations etc, that's a question of fiqh. Anyway I do enjoy listening to your interviews, a student of the game for sure. 👊

I am saying if you are Muslim do not speak about God understanding your disobedience for sport and entertainment. You named numerous fighters who missed Ramadan, Amir Khan and Florian Marku. Like I said previously, some exemptions can be made for missing a Ramadan. You sound like an educated brother, Im sure you're aware of some of them. This is an issue of a Fiqh and I dont want to delve into that because im not a mufti or a scholar. I don't think Haney was being arrogant when he openly told the world he missed Ramadan. He is always asked this question because journalists automatically assume he is fasting, instead of lying he tells them the truth, but he always expresses his regret. Like I previously said he made a promise to himself to never miss it again. I understand your point though, you may never live to see another Ramadan.
