I read the books and he wasn’t always bad. He became friends with sejanus and it shows in the books when he picks his dads compass over his mothers compact that shows he wants to be like his powerful, cruel father.

Same with Tigris. She really believed in him, hoped that he would be a good ruler for Panem. But she saw that he was losing himself, especially after he killed Bobbin. It’s sad, really. Lucy Gray was the only thing keeping him somewhat sane. As soon as he lost her, he lost his humanity.

The power to rule overtook him 💔

I look at the hunger ganes differently knowing what he went through but he also made a choice. 💔

yes. You literally can see him change throughout the movie, from a hero to a villain. Starting when he killed that boy and said he felt powerful doing it.

one of the reasons that he was bad is that he just wanted to be like his dad and the capital didn’t help and made him do even more horrible things that made him horrible but you still have to remember he wasn’t always bad

I wonder what would have happened if he wasn’t living in his father’s shadow and Gaul wasn’t manipulating him.

i liked him in the beginning but when he said that killing a little boy felt “powerful” that’s when his turning point was imo. him and lucy were rlly cute tho

I don’t think Coryo was always bad, and I’ve read the books. He disagreed with Gaul at first, thought the games were disgusting, cared for Tigres, wanted Lucy gray to win for other reasons than the prize, and he felt terrible for not visiting Clem

this sound is so accurate- watching the movie and reading the book have given me empathy towards people who are lead to be "crazy". its like a drug, it completely changes you and it controls YOU. he seemed to have wanted acceptance from his dad, whom was dead. it was a gradual change of character, but it helps me to look at snow not as a bad guy, cause deep down he had love, towards people and strong feelings.

I think it shows perfectly what a psycho he was from a young age, but yet an attractive gentleman on the outside

He really was good at the start. If he would’ve found someway to not lust for power than things would’ve been so much different.

I believe they did truly love each other but once Lucy found out that snow killed 3 people she realized he killed Sajuans (can’t spell it) she couldn’t trust the Snow wouldn’t turn on her too and got scared of him and ran. I do believe she still loved him but didn’t wanna risk anything With Snow idk if he still loved her or not bc she did shoot her and kinda hunted her so idk about him

I totally agree! I think they both genuinely had feelings for each other but eventually Luck Gray realized that they are too different to ever be together. And if you read the book Coriolanus was having second thoughts about running off with her and couldn’t imagine life out in the wild with her.

Can we just stop for a minute to give some justice to sejanus cuz he was so wealthy yet the only thing he wanted to do was help others in need

So sad because he was manipulated and corrupted. Tigris also saw he was changing when he cared for Lucy Gray and believed in him but was saddened seeing him lose himself to be like his father 😭

It hurts more when person you loved betrays you or dies before you and you needed to see them suffer. This is why I don’t want any close friends sometime..

In the last scene he left everything to come with her. She goes out in the rain and doesn't return for long. When he went to the forest, it was her jacket and below it was a snake. He thought it was a trap, and she wanted to kill him by the poisonous snake. I think it was a set up by that tiny man (sorry forgot his name) to show that the district people are corrupt and wrong. Sorry not able to recall the characters name. he said he killed 3 people but had just informed her of 2, which made her feel maybe he is going bad.

I see that snow did no wrong though,Lucy was the songbird and the snake,she was still in love with that cheater and never fully loved snow,it was only mutual trust between them,and she said that trust is above all to her,even above love,but he didn't kill Plinth tho, realistically talking,they were gonna know about his rebellious acts nonetheless because he was just naive and idiotic and we can see that he never learnt his lesson,so death either way plus snow didn't directly execute him so he didn't really kill him though whereas when lucy felt betrayed she just dropped his mom's stuff and put a snake underneath it to kill him,like i don't know how y'all see that she loved him after planning to unalive him when she felt doubt about him like girlie could've just ran away if she really was true about her love for him,i don't know why everybody is condemning snow of everything like he's the monster,everu single character in that movie was a baby snake,snow is not more or less than that either

No Lucy gray did trust him after a while and claimed trust was more important even than love but when he said three was enough she became aware of his betrayal and his responsibility for the death of his loyal friend sejanus . By betraying sejanus , he started a domino effect of betrayals for the rest of his life

I mean yeah he had some trauma but so did Katniss and Peeta and just about every one in the series and they never turned into terrible people.
