Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Meet Shawn, an extraordinary individual who has redefined the boundaries of personal transformation. After embarking on the Carnivore Diet for a little over a year, he has lost a staggering 243 lbs, starting from 457lbs. But his journey was about more than physical weight loss. Shawn overcame severe, life-threatening depression, demonstrating the potential power of dietary changes on our mental health.
In this latest episode, we dive deep into his journey, exploring the impact of the Carnivore Diet on his physical and mental well-being. Plus, we discuss my exciting plans for a Carnivore Diet documentary. The film aims to shed light on this controversial diet, sharing compelling stories like Shawn's that challenge conventional wisdom on nutrition and health.
Shawn's story is not just inspiring; it's a testament to the strength of human resilience and the potential impact of a meat-only diet. This video is a must-watch for anyone curious about the Carnivore Diet or anyone needing a powerful dose of inspiration.

I am a physician and when my brother went on ketovore I freaked out because he stopped eating vegetables at the beginning and only ate eggs and meat. He lost so much weight and his heart problems have gotten much better. But I still never felt comfortable with it. Then I saw dr. Ken Berry and watched a couple of his videos and I decided I needed to do it because I have terrible hip arthritis and I don't want to have surgery. But I can tell you I was very against it because we are just taught the opposite. Kudos to those Brave few Physicians who put themselves out there

If you do that documentary I’m willing to be a testimony. I was 436 pound ended up in the hospital for a week with a blood sugar of over 600. Type 2 diabetes, fatty liver, extremely high triglycerides, hba1c was 11.2, zero energy, sleeping on the couch every day after work, constant anxiety, chest pains, generally didn’t care about myself. Had a 1 year old daughter at the time and in that hospital I took a look at her and I knew I had to fix this. Of course they immediately put me on 3 injections a day plus ozempic and metFORMIN. My Endo did start me on the right track with diet though. Told me to only eat a MAX of 50 carbs a day. I started losing weight but still had glucose spikes and still had multiple injections. Everyone said diabetes was forever. And then there was Dr. Berry. At first I went down to 20 grams of carbs a day, then took the leap to carnivore. Currently I’m 283 pounds, down over 150 pounds. I’m on ZERO meds, blood sugars are near perfect. A1c is 5.4. My triglycerides are perfect. Fatty liver is gone. Energy is through the roof. I take a power lifting class 3 days a week and a functional fitness class another 3. I changed my food, and it changed my life. The best and most important part about all of this is that I’m here for my daughter. I can run and jump and dance and play for as long as she desires, even after a full day of work and the gym. Nothing else really matters. I can’t even sit here and tell you I’m being honest if I said I did it for my health. I did it for her, and I will continue to be the best version of myself for her.

I’m in my “investigative” phase of my upcoming Carnivore journey, so I’ve been watching videos and reading the comments. It’s astonishing seeing the pattern of symptoms so many people have suffered: pre-diabetes, GERD, acid reflux, lethargy, fatigue, brain fog - one could think that there’s some grand conspiracy to kill people. I have aches and pains from arthritis, skin problems, terrible acid reflux, and lately a pervasive sadness. I’ve always been very active, but now I have a debilitating heel spur so my running routine came to a screeching halt back in Sept 2023. Here I am almost five months later, one over-eating holiday season, no exercise of any notable exertion outdoors, weight gained, and my mental state has taken a hit because running has always been such a release for me ( happy, sad, frustrated, angry, …). I’m sick of myself. 😄 Additionally, I have a history of weight fluctuations and “yo-yo” dieting. (Even though I know diets never work.) I’s shopping in the morning for meat. Honestly, why not? Heck, what have I got to lose?

Thanks guys! I had severe, treatment resistant PTSD from a lot of stuff overseas. I also broke my neck in the army. The depression part of the PTSD was exactly how you described it… Couldn’t leave the house for nearly 2 years. Long stints in hospital and over 50 electric shock treatments. I am legally totally and permanently disabled because every Dr said I had no hope of any recovery. But I refused to give in and kill myself. Started fasting with Keto and progressed to carnivore. Well, my life is now awesome. Not always easy but I’m about to start working again after 9 years completely incapacitated. My Drs can’t believe I am the same person. I also respect Shawn highlighting the spiritual aspect. We are made of 3 parts - body, mind and spirit. We can only be whole when we look after all 3 parts and that means seeking truth about each aspect. We’re finding truth about our physical health. Similar dramatic improvements in life occur when we find the courage to find the truth about our spiritual health. Jesus is my Lord and when I eat his spiritual meat it makes a massive difference. Bless you guys 👍🏻

My tinnitus is about gone, vertigo gone, lower back pain gone, BP lowered (even more now that I take Berberine with MCT oil- get some off of Amazon), all my lab #'s are great, lost 34 lbs. I don't hate the VA, every doc is like this. They did give me a new hip and did a great job, and I recovered quickly. Replaced beer with whiteclaws, they are my vice. I was isolating and in a deep depression I was also on 70ml of methodone. Then one day I got a key worker that genuinely cared and she was so lovely that I started to fight at first I was motivated to not let her down then she got me a 9 month rehab at the end I was clean and 5 stone lighter. Later I got into keto during COVID.Lately I've let myself go started getting down again putting on weight eating rubbish again. I m 7 days into carnivore I already feel happy and motivated again it's amazing.

I am anti doctors now - female 55 - 4 doctors kept me in pain for 10 + years and one of the them even told me that I was making up the pain and should get counselling. Not one of them asked me what I was eating .... and it was my food that was causing me horrendous vulva pain, urination pain .... then the antibiotics they put me on for something that was caused by food - destroyed my gut biome - with Floroquinolone Toxicity .... it was my bags of steamed spinach, celery juicing, jacket potatoes, kiwi, raspberries, black pepper, nuts, seeds, beans. Plus many many many other health issues. I had acid reflux --- again never asked what I was eating .... told I would be on tablets for life ..... within a week of carnivore acid reflux disappeared. Joint pain gone, migraines gone, brain fog gone, anxiety gone, depression gone, mental confusion with paperwork gone, acid reflux gone, hair loss all grown back and thick, less grey hair, arthritic fingers gone, gout in toe gone, neck pain gone, back pain gone, knee pain gone, chronic fatigue gone, hiccuping gone, belching gone, terrible flatulence gone, sweating gone, biting my tongue gone, dropping things gone, buying into things gone, dizziness gone, shortness of breath gone (UK size 10 so not overweight), hayfever gone, cat allergies gone, poor sleep gone, making up things in my head gone, horrendous dreams gone, my brain never slept for 20 + years.

I am a thin woman and was wanting to try it, but I was so scared because people have lost hundreds of pounds and I can't afford to lose that much. I started it and noticed the pounds coming off but by the time I got to 7 pounds that's all my body wanted to lose I guess. It leveled off and I've been doing it for a month now and haven't lost any more weight which is perfect. ** Update: another month and I am the same weight so your body knows where it is optimal and will stop losing. Yay.

Same! On keto for over a year for VERY early pre diabetes and I went cold Turkey keto even though I wasn’t “overweight”. I lost 7-10 Lbs of PUFF on keto. Then went carnivore 2.5 months ago and lost another 5-7lbs of PUFF. Now I feel great and can fit into clothes as I prefer… I’m 50 years young and thought keto was the key. Now I feel carnivore is where it’s at. The energy and satiation is unbelievable.

Your body, as a sugar/glucose burner, will first turn to stored carb/fat, until your body switches to fat adaption. Then your body turns to animal fat for energy. If you have body fat to lose, then eat less animal fat. Your body will cannibalize its own stored fat, first. If you are at a weight you want, then eat all the animal fat you want. That will be your energy. Some say, to add organ meat. Others not. You are your lab rat!

I’ve also developed skin rashes for a year now. My brother and his girlfriend started carnivore 30 days ago. My brother was having adrenal failure. His P was the colour of coffee. He said he felt like he was literally dying from there. He went on a four day fast and then straight to pure carnivore, and he is back to what he used to be like20 years ago in just a little over 30 days it’s phenomenal

Sometimes I'll have bacon and sometimes eggs. Every once in a while I'll have a glass of whole milk. Today I ate around 12pm. I had two ribeye steaks and haven't eaten since. I try to do One meal a day once or twice a week. I really feel great when I fast for 20+ hours. This story is incredible honestly. He has a whole new life ahead of him now. I'm on month 6 of carnivore. Not sure how much I've lost (it's over 30 lbs.) but I know I feel amazing. I feel like I'm slowly getting back to normal. I'm not seeing the overwhelming results that a lot of people are getting, but I am getting some results. The hardest was re-programming myself to not need a side dish with meals. I also have to get used to how little meat/ fat actually fills me up and sustains me for 18+ hours. I'll be perfectly happy eating this way for the rest of my life.

The depression came back and made me realise how bad life had been living with depression for so many years, and all because of carbs. Now for the last 9 months or more, every day. So the taste buds change a lot the further along you go. Once all the toxic sludge get out of system and the body signals, hormones and such start functioning properly again, it will communicate to urge you to have in a better way. You can always adjust as needed. Try it for 90 days and see for yourself. No telling how much it will change for you in just that time. I can’t say. I had lots of stresses last year including loising my 62 year old sister to breast cancer, so i was up and down all year.. I started back on track 2 days ago. I've told my family, freinds that I won't be going to any get-togethers, dinners, lunches or celebrations for awhile I keep going off my plans because I don't want to be "that girl". Plus I know my family and my extended families do not understand and I don't think they are interested in learning about the diet. My daughter is vegan, my son is a health fanatic, my other daughter eats mostly white foods, like pasta, bread, meat, plain white rice, cereal, etc. My husband and his family are Italian, and he loves his pizza, pasta, homemade breads etc. My plan is to do the diet at least for 6 months so I can see the results, and let them see the changes is me. I have nothing to loose, but a life to gain. Thank you in advance for the documentary.

@@jujubeatz-mp1rw Arteriosclerosis is caused by plack build up. This plaque is a bandaid to save the body from rupturing arteries and bloodvessels. The ruptering bloodvessels/arteries are in the merge of rupturing, because they lack elasticity so to speak ( also harden ), due to lack of nutrients and because of a crappy diet full of processed foods, sugar/high carbs and much more. The carnivore diet + elimination of inflamatory foods, good nutrients and enough of it causes to diminish plaque buildup, because the arteries are in good shape and do not need a 'bandaid' plaster so to speak. People with easy plaque build up, have simultaneuously also plaque buildup in de arteries. Watch what happens with the plaque on your teeth! It is a sign that this same calcification happens in the arteries also. A good diet, does not cause plaque on your teeth and lesser easy hardened plaque!

I think the two of you have done so well because you started at a very good age and lots of good years ahead. I started keto at 68 and lost 65 pounds in 1 year. Stayed on it for 2 years and then tried carnivore. Still have chocolate cravings, but I love to watch all the info on You Tube. I will get there. So far I have no more "old person pains" in joints from arthritis, no more acid indigestion, no more low blood sugar, no more sinus headaches, no more heart palpitations, no more sleep apnea, and I feel better than I have for the last 20 years. I have fun in my 2-story house when I run up and down the stairs, like a kid again! 😄 (I always hold tight to the banister for safety, though!)

It cured them within a week but it also got rid of my depression, anxiety and brain fog, cured eczema, and aches and pains, and cured insomnia and terrifying hypnic jerks. Oh and I lost 42lbs (took me to 19 BMI) in the first six months and it has never come back!! I will never go back to my old way of eating!!

I wish I’d known this YEARS ago. I’m over 70 years old and about 60 lbs overweight. I’ve been on thyroid meds for many years and on COPD meds for a few years. I’m getting ready to start this way of eating. I know it’ll be hard. I have 2 sons and a grandson living with me and they think it’s nuts. It’ll be such a temptation to cook all my old favorite foods for them and not eat any of it. I think I’ll make a youtube channel to document my journey, what I eat daily, the emotional roller coaster, etc.. Not public, but privately for my own satisfaction. If it turns out successful, I might make the videos public at some time in the future.

Just after my 72nd birthday last July, I went keto then carnivore. Go for it @lectrickitty Just try for 30 days and see what happens. I've had so many benefits from this lifestyle, but you mentioned your weight issue...I went from 200.4 to157 lbs. Now people tell me I'm too skinny and tell me I need to eat some "good food," but that's just who I really am under everything unhealthy that went away. By nature, I'm a thin body type at 6'1" Good luck.

DO THE KZread CHANNEL!! I'm turning 62 in a few days, I'm 5'10" and recently hit 297 pounds. My back hurts all the time, some days my fingers ache, I can barely bend over enough to put socks on, I've had numerous laryngospasms (waking up from sleep not being able to breathe) which is terrifying, and I just committed to the carnivore diet about 3 days ago. I'm journaling the experience and am seriously considering doing a YT channel myself. We, all of us carnivores, HAVE to get the word out to the masses that we have been horribly lied to for decades and there IS AN ANSWER!! And it's painless! I want my health back. I'm 67 yrs old and would like to treat myself for my birthday in december by giving this new way of eating a chance to change my life. I have set the date to start in my mind hopefully in 3 days time as I have so much going on next few days and will be away from home. My wish is just to loose some weight but to be pain free to enjoy the rest of my time on this earth. If the depression, the constant tiredness and the IBS and arthritis can be reduced I'd be very happy, if the type 2 is reversed, man I may dance a jig. Well done both of you, hope all your future goals are fruitfull.

Wow Shawn! What a story. 457 pounds! I am so happy for you! April 22,2022 minus 243 pounds. I have been suicidally depressed also, even though not much overweight. I slept almost all the time and spent most of my life on the couch. That kind of depression has nothing to do with what most people think of as sad or depressed! I felt like a lab rat with all of the mix of psychiatric meds tried. So that part I relate to. I am not on any more antidepressants. I had been doing gluten free, which helped, then Paleo, then Keto, now Carnivore. I have been binge watching Dr Ken Berry and other Carnivore folks for the last few weeks. I can't sleep well now but had hip replacement surgery 10 weeks ago and am still in pain. . It's not just sugar, but all of the vegetable and seed oils, deep frying, processed foods, chemicals and preservatives, gluten wheat stuff, etc, etc. Bless you Kerry and Shawn! In 2018, I saw my best friend reverse suicidal depression in 3 days by going clean Keto, so after 3 months I also did Keto for over a year. When I suggest Keto to my daughter,, she says she will not eat in a way that tells her certain foods are off limits because that will resurrect her eating disorder. Thank you Kerry & Shawn for being so candid about your lifestyle and carnivore mission to heal yourself and share your experiences. It’s amazing how you both have positively touched so many lives in such a short period of time. The impact from people’s health benefits after being on the carnivore diet for a few months to a year will increase exponentially. The medical industry may continue to avoid the testimonies of patients, but they can’t ignore the raw data from lab results. Medical trends will change slowly through observation, but we all can take control of our lives now by changing eating habits and improving our health in-spite of the absence of doctors nutritional advice. I’m only a month into this lifestyle and relieved I finally found the proper human diet. I’m 72, so much damage has been done to my poor old body. However, that gives me clear goals to focus on as I actively take charge to heal my weakened inflamed immune system. Thanks for your support!❤

Wow. I started carnivore a week ago. I am insulin dependent for 25 yrs. 40-50 lbs overweight. I am 65 with every health issue you and intentional carnivore talked about. I am so grateful to find you guys. Thankyou. I feel so much better that this is going to work... Thanks. 😂

I must say, listening to you, talking about the doctors not asking about the diet, it’s so true! My husband has heart disease, and back pain, and what do you think the pain management or cardiologists say ,come in next month and get your pain pills, get a echocardiogram… Our medical system is so flawed! And I am a nurse! No one has ever told him to lose weight! I may try this diet just for him! Lol thanks for everything…

I was super new to the idea of keto when my son was diagnosed with a brain tumor at age 15. I wish I had known more.😢 But I learned quick bc I wanted to do all I could for him. (He did pass away at age 17, but outlived prognosis by over a year with far less suffering bc we went keto and opted out of chemo/radiation... at my son's choice.) But I remember asking the treatment team at Arkansas Children's Hospital if they had a nutritionist on staff to help children address health/healing from a nutritional perspective. They laughed at me...and when I said cancer feeds off carbs and sugars, they laughed at me. I believe they do know, but they keep this info hidden bc it doesn't feed their POCKET BOOK!! I could count 5 or 6 times when they literally did things to hasten death ...increasing steroids from 2mg/day to 16?!!!! Putting him on high doses of pain meds to the point of his BP dropping into the 40/50 range ....and hounding me, saying he won't make it through the night and hounding me for his organs. I began to pray in the Spirit and they couldn't stay in the room. My son walked out carrying his own bags 3 days later ....and I KNOW they were angry about that!! When my husband accidentally let the cat out of the bag about the natural treatments we were doing, the government (under Trump) put a stop to every bit of it .....CBD+THC, apricot seeds+DMSO ....yeah, they put my suppliers on watch and some were fined, and imprisoned. 😢 Anyway .....sorry for the rant. But the 16mg of steroids were the driving force behind his decline. He gained 80lbs in a month and he wanted to eat, eat, eat ....😢 .....they murdered my son. 😢 Previous to that, they had him on 4mg/day, but I wanted him down to 1mg/day and he did better. Anyway .....thank you to any who read this.

Shawn, I am totally blown away by your progress. I was trying to do BBB&E for 90 days, but I am only on day 21 and I am struggling really bad. I am not usually a quitter, but I am not sure I can keep going. I need HELP!!! If I can just make it to the 30 day mark, I think I may have to swap over to ketovore. Please pray for me to be able to hang in there.....

Keep going!! I’m on Day 28 and I know it’s a big transition. Some tips I use are to eat a big bite of butter when you get a little hungry or crave something. It definitely satiates you and gets you through it. And I don’t eat between meals. Best to you.

When you said you made deviled eggs with melted butter instead of mayo I said okay I’ll give it a try. Many years ago when we lived in Africa we would drive 100 miles to buy Hellman’s mayo. Using it for 50 plus years. Gave up seed oils because of a retina problem, except for my Hellmans. Made your deviled egg recipe 4 hb eggs +1/2 stick melted butter and I added 1 Tbs yellow mustard. Shocked at how delicious! My eye specialist will be proud of me. He doesn’t do seed oils. Thank you. You have a new follower as I love your story!

You guys are great!!! I agree and have had so many of the same experiences you’ve had with carnivore! The sleeping less and getting up earlier and having more energy! It’s awesome! I tried plant based whole food 😮it was like torture! Hated it! It didn’t help me even lose 1 pound! 😮 Happened on Dr Ken Berry keto/carnivore videos, watched and thought why not try it? Then I started keto, now I’m carnivore! Over the past year I’ve lost 85 pounds!!! Not only do I look better, but I feel better than I have in decades! In every way! Physically! Emotionally! No brain fog! I’m still going strong working on losing the last 30-35 pounds! I used to hate walking, doing anything to save steps! Now I actually enjoying moving, walking etc! But thinking how much I’ve lost, no wonder I hated walking!!!😳 I truly appreciate your efforts to spread this vital message! Love you ❤ for your hard work and amazing testaments! I agree, sick people keep the gravy train moving, healthy people!!! I research everything now when it comes to many issues, especially health issues! Loads of real genuinely caring Doctors who are sharing the knowledge we need! Like Dr Berry, Baker, Chaffee, Lustig, Pradip Jamanadas, and others I don’t recall at the moment! Just keep goin, it works and you know it! We’ve proven that to ourselves!!!

You guys brought tears to my eyes. You are both so sincere . Congratulations on your weight loss boys. I'm wondering if Shawn or you use butter on your steaks and other meats. I have lost 30 lbs on this diet but I have edema so it's hard to know if I actually gain weight or if it's water. I have started just eating eggs beef and unsalted butter. No salt, pepper or spices so hope that will help. You guys are such an inspiration . I know our faith is what keeps us going forward. I pray every day for strength to stay on this and He has given it. Keep up your great work boys. It's like your own ministries. I subscribed to you tonight and looking up Shawn to do the same. So glad I found you boys tonight. 243 pounds in a year is the most precious gift you could have done for yourself and your family. God bless .

You need to add salt back into your diet again. Salt is crucial to the proper functioning of every cell in your body. But, buy Himalayan pink salt or something similar. Do not use ordinary sodium chloride, aka table salt.

Such an inspirational story! I’m only about 20lb overweight, but feel it’s too much. Every time I hit 190lb I go on keto and intermittent fasting to bring it back down. I’ve done water fasting as well up to five days. I haven’t tried the carnivore diet and it’ll be the my next challenge to get my weight and health under control.

Over the years I've been diagnosed with severe depression, PTSD, panic and anxiety attacks, social agoraphobia, aspurges, arthritis and last week Fibromyalgia. I'm 2 weeks in to the carnivore diet , I only have a few pounds to lose so that is sliding off. Wish me luck 🙏 I'm in constant pain still but I'm hoping soon something will change 🙏
