I did the same 6 months back, no need to pay anything, regalia gold is much more better card in terms of lounge etc, only thing is u need to pay annual fee which can be waived off upon spending

Firstly I don't recommend to buy any forex card, having been to over 16 countries cash is the best transaction, and if at all you wanna but a forex card go for niyo global it's good

I am not sure how it works but one reason could be the salary bracket and hdfc has a corporate banking tie up with my company. You might check your pre-existing CC upgrade offer in the banking app. If its not there, you might contact the customer care or visit your branch to negotiate further.

Regalia has less joing-annual fees 2.5k + GST and infinia is by invite only. Infinia costs around 12.5k+ GST (joining and annual).
