IamBlaCkPrincess 17 I do think that they don’t lip sync during the older days. You can see really obvious realistic vocals for these idols. I’m not sure about those old solo singers tho, I’m referring mostly to sm old generations artists 😂 and then lip syncing came up popular for a few years, and I think for now, artist do lip sync sometimes and don’t too. It depends for now, I do notice jyp’s artist lip sync only in the high notes of the songs. SM’s artist some of them will lip sync a few seconds when they are out of breath.

I personally think there’s nothing wrong with lip syncing but people tend to overly used that term for negative purposes :( since we all know how certified SM’s vocals are so 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 I’d rather them lip sync when needed cause singing out of breath without actually breathing properly will hurt they vocal cords and respiratory system.

Ikr and nowadays even tho an Idol singing live performance their vocal had been touched up SO MUCH to the extent its actually 50% LIVE 50% COMPUTER (auto-tuned, smoothed, etc) so it doesn’t has the LIVE feel anymore like on sketchbook, begin again, masked singer, fantastic duo, produce 101, etc all this show used tooo much effect which make the singer voice is sooo fucking smooth and just sound unrealistic tbh. Like the voice doesnt have the texture

The funny thing is that the part which Yuri did sing says 'I haven't got the slightest idea'

They were still rookies then so they didn't dare to laugh or anything. If it were to happen today, half of them would erupt into laughs except for Seohyun, who'd maybe stifle a smile LOL.

All I know is they trained for many years then trained 1 year as a group for their debut. That's an insane amount of preparation for debut.

This is so funny. Taeyeon's pokerface makes it even funnier like it's a normal occurence hahaha

This is the only girl group who has countless beautiful songs since debut.

@Hoell I'm not sure either cause I only saw it on this video. It's not unlikely that it's how it is supposed to be done though. If the video wasn't zoomed out this way, we wouldn't have noticed either since their voices blended so well it sounded like one.

⁠@@nighthunter3372seohyun is known to be the harmonizer of the group. She usually supports notes during live shows but doesn’t actually have those hidden vocals during the actual recorded song. Hence why she has the mic to her mouth after Sica’s high note. She’s just really good at her thing fr. A big example of this is during the America promotion of The boys.. even though she doesn’t have that many hidden vocals in the actual song, she was holding all the harmonies in the live show

I remember the first time I watched this video I wasn't familiar with the song, so I thought Yuri had forgotten her lyrics again @1:55, but it turned out that part was just a very short one. 😅 Watching her awkwardly getting back into line while thinking that she really had forgotten them was hilarious, though.

In this stage, SooYoung seems to sing with higher tone than orginal version, isn't her? Highnote of Jessica and TaeYeon is very very nice, their expressions are very greatful 😍

2:23 Hyoyeon is behind Jessica who is singing 😍 Her face is very fresh and doesn't change at all, she just looks different now because she changed her hair color to blonde and changed her eyebrow line. #MISS_EDITION

So many mistakes in this performance. Yuri obviously forgot her lines.@2:30 Hyoyeon started singing the second chorus. In the first chorus @1:00, it sounds like at least 2 of them sang "geudaega nal haengbok" from the second chorus, and in the second chorus @1:47, at least one of them sang "naegal geudae haengbok" which was supposed to be in the first chorus. And @3:01, the "s" fell off the "Merry Christmas" sign. LOL Unfortunately, this is the best quality video for this song on KZread.

It also sounds like one of the girls said "Honey, nal saranghago itjyo" during the first chorus. And All the mistakes you named are the same mistakes that I make whenever I sing this song to myself. It is quite confusing so I can understand why they mixed up/forgot some lyrics. And I can never remember Yuri's part when singing this song. xD
