I'm pretty sure this was recorded at the end of the year, and by that time Mariah was able to get the rest she needed. It was the lead-up to Glitter that was truly her "breakdown" (not breakdown, just overwork and exhaustion)

At 2:40 when she sings “gonna be there”, when she does that vocal break on there, it reminds me of her National Anthem performance when she sings “and the rockets red glare”. It’s unbelievable what she has been able to do with her voice. She is definitely heaven sent.
