They are better than V&M now. V&M only won the Olympics because of Papakadis’s wardrobe malfunction during the short program as they lost points. P&C won the long program!!!!!

Go back and look at the results They won the long program but were penalized for the wardrobe malfunction in the short! That is a fact.

@@gericollier456 yes, but they were insanely overscored in the short even with the malfunction and were overscored in the free dance too. the shibutanis deserved the silver, not your faves who can’t even skate in hold

@@gericollier456 P/C were not penalized for the wardrobe malfunction. Look at the protocols. They had a couple of small imperfections in their dance (too small to even be called mistakes), which could have been because of Gabriella's dress, but we'll never know for sure how they would have skated if not for that accident. Also, they and V/M were pretty much equal in the FD, albeit very different, but judges simply wanted to give it to the new favorites, not the old ones who had come back. In any case, I am really glad they won the Olympics this time - that was absolutely deserved. The Russians just were not on the same level (I actually thought Hubbell/Donohue were a bit closer and should have gotten that silver)

They've used Virtue & Moir's music but they are no Virtue & Moir. At their age, Scott and Tessa were amazing. This team is uninteresting and everything looks like they're thinking through it. Not sure how you can skate to PF and still generate such little heat.

At that age, Papadakis & Cizeron had nowhere near the resources available to V/M at their age. P/C had a limited training time and were unfortunately caught up in a power struggle between the French Federation and the Lyon training centre. You really can't compare the paths of the teams because hardly anyone believed in P/C back in their junior years. As for the heat, I'd argue that P/C beat V/M on that one even as juniors.
