I think the most important thing thing a player on amateur to intermediate level can learn from this, is how effortless and loose their swings are. Recreational players seem to tense up when hitting the ball. Even while using very little strength, these pros are able to hit the ball harder than an amateur player. Because it is not about power, it is all about racket head speed.

it changed a lot the last couple of years because in my opinion he started to make it more flat specially in Wimbledon so he could spend less energy on his shots. In 2005 he used to finish a lot of points with his brutal inside out forehand, now he is more old and he needs to get a way so he can't spend so much energy. One of the things that federer have today is that he hardly gets tired even with 3 or 4 sets....GENIUS!

Tennis matches on TV should be shown from this angle. It shows how low the ball travels across the net and how hard it is to get the right angle to hit the corners.
love how they go backhand to backhand just for fun :)
Last overhead smash was awesome
Federer has very good forehand and volleys.
they are so consistent
Oh, just Federer showing us his greatness.
I watch it everyday
If you knew nothing about tennis and watched this clip, you would think that both players were about equal.
it is so great!
I would love to see a doubles match between Federer, Gasquet, Wawrinka and Shapavalov. Just single handed backhands everywhere
I would say that gasquet's smash feeds were truly excellent.
Amazing. I tend to favor Pete over Fed but the beauty and fluidity of Fed's game cannot be denied. It is uncanny.
holy CRAP that's scary i didn't even notice till u pointed it out o.O
I love gasquets crazy high top-spin backhand at 4:30 ish, looks like he's doing some sorta jedi move the way he flicks his racquet on the follow through lol
I love seeing two single back handers on one court.
federer's backhand is just so smooth
DID ANYONE NOTICE THAT AT 0:14 WHEN FEDERER SHANKS THE BALL, THE GUY ON THE OTHER END OF THE COURT CATCHES IT??? FEDERER IS JUST THAT PERFECT
I swear Fed has the most beautiful slice in the history of the game
anyone catch that Federer no-look backhand overhead at 8:57? that was insane cool and he made it look so easy
@roninsana This is warm up. In match play he gets sufficient preparation for his strokes. Also check out the second half of this session and you will see him taking bigger cuts as he has warmed up. Peace.
when i was 12 i had to decide between a one-handed and a tow-handed backhand...and I'm SOOOOOOO glad i chose the one handed ;)
Cette chaine est fantastique ! Ils attendent quoi a la télé pour nous proposer les mêmes prises de vues...
gasque owns federer in this!
8:56 I have never seen such amazing smash, what a trajectory
federer backhand is so good
