📣 ‼️ PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: TOPS is suspending all bus trips from JY Square starting February 17. All their 6 buses will operate from the Cebu IT Park Terminal instead until further notice. The entrance fee is ₱200 and includes a roundtrip shuttle ride. The new schedule is as follows: First ride: 7AM from IT Park to TOPS Last ride: 3AM from TOPS to IT Park TOPS plans to increase their bus fleet to 12 vehicles in the future to provide more transport options.

A not soo old soul here (batang 90’s) … just reminiscing the old glory days of the 90’s on Saturday weekends with family and frlends and of course “uyab” with Larsian bbq or JCA pizza on hand!

I had been there when it opened in the late 1980s. Great improvements are done. Kudos! When are they going bulid a gondola cable car from city to TOPs? That would be a great ride and first in the country. BTW, thanks for the video. Well appreciated.

I’ve read from online articles suggesting that the grand opening is scheduled for March this year. Only the ground floor was accessible to the public during my visit yesterday.

CEBU NEED TO INVEST IN CABLE CARS TO THE TOP

Fantastic camera recording and information to travel to Tops. I last went to Tops in 2003 and none of the restaurants etc existed there. I remember eating dinner at an Italian restaurant that was located approximately half way up the road to Tops.

Do they still have the ivonic love bell?

I may have overlooked it, but yesterday, I noticed that the old iconic bell was no longer in its usual spot. I hope they consider restoring it, perhaps during their grand opening in the future.

The soft opening is always held to create awareness to the public before the grand opening. This way, they will know what needs to be improved when the big day comes like crowd management, service, product offerings, etc.

​@@lionhearted1969 Not necessarily. A lot of businesses want to protect the idea of first impressions. It just so happens that's not a priority for this one. If you don't already know or at least have an estimate of your venue's capacity, if you don't already have your service protocols down before opening, that only speaks to lack of proper planning. That's inadequacy. Take into acount that a rinkydink image of the place is what's being shared in social media. You're clearly an amateur in marketing, so I'll let it slide.

Well, back to the 'soft opening' subject, yes, I've witnesses to many soft openings in the past, including 5 of my former employers. I'm quite sure that the developer/owner of this establishment are not stupid to not put in place any service protocol inherent to such attraction/business with their decades of being in the business. By the way, this architectural marvel (which you call rinky-dink) have won for them an international architectural design award last year. By naming this architectural masterpiece, 'rinky-dink' based solely on what you see on videos, it only speaks of the level of your intelligence or the lack of it.

@@Dhaffaryaks Catch a jeepney from Talamban Elementary School. You can either take a modern air-conditioned jeepney or a traditional jeepney. Let the jeepney driver know you're going to Cebu IT Park. Once you arrive at Cebu IT Park, alight and head to the bus terminal located right across Ayala Central Bloc. From the bus terminal, take a bus bound for Tops.
