I'm uncertain: between the two which would you choose? HBX 16889 RC Car 1:16 or Xinlehong Q901 RC Car 1:16?

This IS actually one of the best RC's out there, this little RC has proven itself over and over again since this video was made!

As someone who owns multim 8th scale beastly R/Cs this tiny little monster truck is pretty impressive.

That actually seemed pretty decent. Great for a little kid to join his mum or dad in the park with. My son is 11 and loves his typhon and handles it fine so I'd guess for kids more around 6 or 8 this would be good.

Good review, looking forward for the bashing.

I think for the price and size it’s actually pretty decent, and at the end of the day the best Rc is the one that puts the biggest smile on your face and that’s all that really matters ! Ya Mount Everest didn’t look that big , but when you were standing at the top and it was almost the little engine that could then it took its tumble you could really tell how steep the climb is and it’s actually pretty impressive ! And honestly if a company is starting to gift you Rc’s no matter the make it’s a definite win and you guys do deserve to be noticed as you both do spot on in my books and who doesn’t like plenty of gifts throughout the year if possible !! Keep up the Great Work and Vids ! Stay and Play Safe !! 👊👍✌️

If you had oil filled shocks and better tires that truck would be great. I have the 1/18 18859e and I’ve upgraded all the shocks, tires, and plastic parts to metal and it’s a very capable truck. I never expected a $80 truck to be so good!

incredible surfaces for rc cars in this country.

Great Vid' guys. Looks like a very competent "Toy" grade RC basher. Given its weight and brushed motor it's probably good to go, out of the box, for hours of "tame" fun bashing in the 'hood. Keep up the good work :)

How do you change the motor though? I can not find the linking stuff.

I don’t know if you guys knew this or not but this car is actually a rebrand of a redcat volcano 16 so it has full parts availability which is an even better plus to this. I had a hbx rampage and it was the absolute most fun I’ve had with an rc car for the price. I have a slash 4c4 and a maxx and the hbx but sadly it broke and parts cost so much with shipping it’s not worth it but I think I will buy this one because you can get parts so easy

Really like the body on this one 👍🏼 still waiting for mine to arrive

If I'm not too late... Try to run it on grass first because that body doesn't last long. Especially if you crash on concrete. I cracked mine the first time I bashed it. 🙄

Do you know what the connector name called for the 16889 led connector?

Would you recommend this more than the wltoys 144001?

I own both and would say it depends what you're using it for (assuming both are stock). 144001 is faster, handles better, and ramps well but isn't as durable. 16889 (brushless) tops out around 22mph, takes some getting used to on turns, ramps decently but can do stunts, and is durable as hell. Both are great RCs though!

Hi, does 16889 have low voltage cutoff? I ran mine with 2s lipo and very surprised that the battery went to 2.9 and 30v. Hope you can answer. Thanks!

Mine is named blackzon and has a power cutoff if you are at full power mode. At lowest power setting it won't cut at low voltage from my experience.

BRAP. I am looking to get a new RC. Mainly a basher/Monster Truck. I have a slash 4x4 brushless and its amazing, but I want something with more ground clearence. I am thinking the Traxxas Max. I mainly want durability and my slash gives me that, so I think Im going for the Max. Do you have any other recomendations?

I would say very similar! Personally I prefer the a979B over this one but both are great!

That’s awesome! We have been to a few, They seem to be okay with us having our RC there if it is quiet and not busy. Some places are strict and don’t allow it. But we like going around Hong Kong finding new places 🙏🏽😊

Why no new videos?

My 16889 brushless is a far superior product to my traxxas slash 16 scale in my opinion, especially when you consider the price difference.

To climb steep hills I don't use full speed. Maximum half speed on the remote and steady on acceleration. This thing climbs dirt ramps extremely steep. For the money...

That's a nice little toy for a 5 or 6 year old Someone sending you guys an rc even though it is a crappie one, it's 80 bucks and it doesn't bring 2 body's or any of the other stuff you had in the box (they could at least have sent the brushless one) it's a good sign that your channel is picking up traction Check your levels on the outro, the music is a bit high over your voices

I would have installed the oil filled shocks they actually provided, instead of complaining about the friction shocks being bouncy. Of course they are, they are friction shocks. I have actually lent mine to kids and they break it in no time. It wasn't a good idea. You know... Unless you think wasting 70 dollars on a car they will probably break in the first two or three hard crashes is a good idea. It gets up to 30Km/h. Some kids can handle that, others just crash. Oh and that body is very thin and cracks easily.

You have taught him well. I bet he wasn't good the first time... But he's smart. The two kids that have driven my HBX can't even tell when to stop accelerating and just crashed into everything around. 🙄

16889 body mount posts are garbage broke 2 rear ones so far in a month. I suspect this is the weakness of the car. They are too thin . Poorly designed Hbx needs to make thicker stronger ones .
