That is a GOOD thing :-). If the Gemstone series hits home, then those it hits home with need to rethink their spirituality and religion. The one who demands it stop are the ones for whom it hits too close to home.

He said he didn’t think him and his mom were telling the same kind of stories but in a way they are. I’m a Christian, raised in church, I fell into addiction but with God’s help and a good doctor/counselor I’ve been sober almost 8 years. These mega millionaire “pastors” are a perfect vehicle for comedy and I just started watching the show last night. I love it!! Hysterical. It doesn’t mock my religion or beliefs because I don’t attend one of those mega rich churches, but either way sometimes you gotta laugh at yourself and not take things personal.

I think that’s why this show is so good is because it never makes fun of religious people but the idea of these corrupt religious leaders and how ridiculous they are.

I went to middle and high school with Danny McBride and some of the responses about young Danny are hilarious. He was the student body president for our senior class if memory serves me right. Mr. Noakes was our principal which was worthy of any comedic material Danny could possibly dish out on screen. The man went on and on and on.

HBO loves Danny, fortunately. They signed 2 seasons of Vice Principals all at once so long as Danny would make Season 4 of Eastbound. He went for 1 season of a new show and got 3 seasons of multiple shows. That’s wild

Danny McBride makes me proud to have been raised in Fredericksburg. He will always be a hometown hero to me.

He got it from his mom and used it in his own. Same as me and my mom, she isn't a professional fighter but she how fight in life. I used it in a different way, but it got me where I am. This was heart warming.

Fredericksburg is country/rural-ish but not country enough to have good BBQ or moonshine and def not city enough to have anything that makes city life fun.. Just sits in this weird place.
