@@HayleyMary I LOVE covers, I find it so fascinating how an artist can turn one song into something completely different, and I have a huge playlist with a collection of my favourites. This is one of the best I’ve ever heard, so so different from the original. Lana is hard to cover well - so many try and so few succeed, but you’ve nailed it 💕

Usually not impressed with Lana covers, but I’m infatuated with her voice.

Wow! Lana is one of my fave artists, but this was something else. Almost has an old school 60s feel to it, in a way. Or maybe that's just where Hayley's fabulous boots took me? Either way, wonderful job done by all!

I am 100% in awe of the raw power of this cover. Drumming and singing seems challenging so I am also in awe of Astrid Holz just smashing it out and looking cool as a cucumber!

I've never ever found a cover of a Lana song that I liked but damn this one is perfection.

There’s parts of this that remind me of the killers.10/10. Love the original and love this one.

Yep, was defs purposefully going for the killers vibes particularly in the guitar solo. I'm obsessed with 'When You Were Young' makes me sick to my stomach in a good way. ;)

So on point..agree totally as I’ve now listened through a good sound system ...the engineer is almost godlike, how he/she can mix a live gig and make it sound as if it’s taken months to tweak,is beyond normal ..5 instruments, 5 backing vocals and a singer,changing from subtle whisper to ripping the fuck out of it . ..another good show ...hey the girls done ok too,was totally impressed..I think cld be a creeper and on 3-4 listens may be one to remember..

I'm reading the Hamilton biography (Alexander, not Annie) at the moment. And I'm wondering whether Alice McCall (the fashion designer who's behind Hayley's outfit, I think, or even behind the other ladies' outfits, Idk) is related with Winston McCall from Parkway Drive. I’ll admit, I was skeptical, Lana’s songs are hard to do justice, but I actually love this! I did not expect the vibe but I’m here for it!

Brilliant version. This is a proper song that could have lived during the 80,s 90,s and but is now!

I cann't believe it has been two years since this first came out, when Hayley Mary first did this cover I instantly Loved it and the upbeat feelings it gives me has never waned, and I made sure I voted in Like a version hottest 100 just because of this version. And as a consequence going back through all the others versions found little hidden gems. So a big BIG friggin well done to you Hayley Mary for turning a song, to be honest I never really got into the original, and owning it, making me listen to the lyrics which I agree are well written. I am waffling, so again THANK You Hayley Mary.

Check out The Jezabels! You might know 'Pleasure Drive' from a few years back. Big fan. That's her original band. They sound a bit more like this than her solo stuff does imo.

Amazing! I’m sick of all the slowed down covers on like a version or ones that just kind of put the slight expected spin on it that never really does anything NEW or SURPRISING. This was sick. It felt properly composed and together, not just bits and pieces with a few guitar pedals.
