Hayden played Anakin perfectly and I don't care what anyone says. Look at him today. Lucas had an eye and a gift for talent and you can clearly see the Anakin character is still well within him. If not more than when he made the movies. I'm so happy that Hayden finally got his wish and properly dawned the Vader suit in Obi-wan. Just too bad Disney didn't take the series seriously enough to care about its production costs like they did with Andor. The massive disrespect to the legacy characters is what i'll never forgive them for.

He got so much backlash for Lucas's poor writing of Anakin's lines but Hayden is really the only person who could have been Anakin Skywalker. He's got serious acting chops and defined the role. I think people needed to give the prequels a bit of time to sink in and realize how good he really was.

Clone Wars really fleshed out the character - Hayden was never the problem and he does a great job today in the role.

Hayden started off with LV and ended up becoming Lord Vader

The difference is, during all original 6 films. They all felt like Star Wars, even if at times people would say that the prequels are bad or would want to discount them. It comes straight from George's mouth that the original six are all the story of Darth Vader, the other 3 Disney made, add nothing to that story. They're Hollywood films, it's better just to not count them

I really wanna see him in the MCU. He has the perfect look and style to be an amazing Superhero or even Supervillain. And since he already worked with Disney it works perfectly. A great actor, his range is actually amazing. Doing a character like American Heist and Shattered Glass is crazy range. Hope he doesn't go back to farming it would be a waste of talent.

Was always a Star Wars fan, not that I didn't, love to hate Darth Vader, but when Hayden took on the role, I almost cheered for the Dark Side. Saw a few of Haydens other films, and haven't changed my tune about his talent as an actor/exceedingly gorgeous human, only expanded its scope. His role as David Rice in Jumpers got my attention, first in the theater, then had to buy the DVD to watch it at will, it's that good. The special effects alone were worth rewatching, repeatedly. Then having Hayden at the helm, so to speak, it just had me...Jumping to own it. 💪🏼😍👍🏼🎥🎬🎞️🌟🤩

If you’re talking about Christensen in Star Wars, then don’t show a picture of Jake Lloyd.

Im so glad that now he's getting the love and appreciation he always deserved from the beginning. Back in the early 2000s especially after Episode 2 he got unfair criticism but I always thought he played Anakin perfectly. To be fair though it was mostly the "normie" fans, not the hardcore Star Wars fans that didn't appreciate his take on Anakin. In Episode 2 he was SUPPOSED to be angst ridden, hot headed and temperamental. That was intentional. Then in Episode 3 he got criticized for being unemotional and robotic at times, but again, that was Anakin's progression towards the Dark side and a reaction to the trauma he had gone through. He was always trying to cage his emotional side and be stoic. Only people that don't understand how Lucas wrote the character are quick to critique Hayden's performance but I have always said he was brilliant. NOW he gets tins of love and respect from the Fandom which is great but it should have always been there

I think people are overthinking how well the script and acting played out.If he was a more experienced actor at the time and they didn't rush through it the movie would have came out a lot better and Hayden could have performed the role better and he did mention he felt like it was too handed to him. But personally though I think he performed the role just fine because besides the script writing and bad timing for Haydens acting career, He delivered the perfect personality for the role however and thats what made it all worthwhile and made for a more fulfilling watching experience for him and the audience as well. :)

Higher Ground was definitely not a comedy, it was a darker teen drama which showed Hayden's range which probably got him noticed for casting

The first time I watched attack of the clones, I hated Hayden Christensens performance. Then I watched some of his other roles and I realized that it wasn't the actors fault, but the silly storyline/direction that was given to him. I've said it before, I'll say it again. The biggest issue I've had over the years with the prequels is simply that the story doesn't give Anakin weight. We already know he's going to turn to the dark side and the reasons we're given is that he's a whiney teenager? Again, the man, the person - Hayden. IMO, a pretty good actor.

Jumpers will always be one of my favorites.

He also used to play Tennis with one of my Aunts, in Highschool or Canadas equivalent if memory serves correct.

The only problem Hayden had was being a new actor trying to translate, what an "unleashed" George was trying to say, onscreen. One of the reasons why the original trilogy was written and paced so well was because George had someone to guide his vision and tell him when something wasn't going to work. An experienced actor/actress can handle less than clear directions and intuit the desired result. Christopher Lee, for instance, probably figured his character out in seconds. Hayden was in a double-bind, he had to try and figure out how to portray George's dialogue verbatim while also trying to imagine a dark, towering figure like Darth Vader as a young man. He's in other movies with less speculative roles that he nails perfectly and he's recently shown that he can portray Vader and give a good performance regardless of the show's quality around him. Tbh, it would've been great to see him play an alternate, uninjured Vader in a "What if" scenario.

The description of higher ground was so wrong. First not a comedy but a drama. It was a show about a wilderness facility for teens with social emotional issue. His character was sexuallly abused by the stepmother not an affair. His character was a star football player before everything went wrong. It was a good show too i wish it was on longer.

He actually did use a stunt double for the Star Wars films but that was only for the stunts that were deemed way too dangerous for the actors to do like the delete scene where they walk over the long pipe in the hanger, they used body doubles seeing as they were high up and there was higher risk, so for stunts like that yes he did use one, for the rest it was all him, just need to watch the special feature on the dvds to see it, and no point saying I’m wrong because I watched those like crazy when the movies came out
