Closeups of the lifting mechanism would be helpful. I have a salesman’s model, but a walk around shots or video would help me understand the mechanisms. Great video and good to see the equipment in use. Beautifully coordinated and well trained team of horses. Thank you for sharing.

@@LupoAndy thanks for that info. This film is in colour but a bit washed out. So I would think it's perhaps the last of its kind, around 1950 rather than a reproduction.
How do they move such a big stack

They don't you drive the sleigh next to the pile and fork off what you need then haul it to the cattle
