Runcam seems like it has a flatter colour profile making it better for grading in post. I’d prefer this over better night performance coz - let’s be honest - who does a lot of flying at night?

Humm...runcam has the overall best quality, but after sunset, I love the saturation from hawkeye, at night hawkeye do the best but with noise. It can be a good primary camera if they able to improve the AV out fps

Runcam day Hawkeye night. Now if we could just merge the two technologies we would really have an awesome camera I think most will love❤

Hawkeye has first-look better image out-of-box. On Runcam is better EV range IMHO (day) but have to edit saturation and color grade - they are "washed". Hawkeye is much better at nightime. Both are good, similar price but HE give a bunch of cable extra. I have both, I cannot choose. On this price, you should buy both 😁 and problem solved.

Seemed like the Hawkeye's biggest struggle is having multiple brightness levels in the shot. If that were sorted, it would be destroying the Runcam.

Thanks for the comparison Gal! Great video! The Runcam is better during the day, capturing better details and better dynamic range. The Hawkeye takes advantage during low light tho. What I can tell is, the Hawkeye is definitely worth for its price. It took the position and buried the original Runcam Thumb (non-4k) for good! Good job from Hawkeye making this product at this price range.

No. The Runcam are better. It requires manual ISO settings and shutter speed. In raw video you can easily process and get the result as on gopro.

hmm this is tough RC has better wdr and higher fps but HE looks better because of saturation, color temperature, contrast and of course low light performance

The daytime Hawkeye shots looked a little underexposed to me. Without doubt, the features and specs for the money its a Hawkeye win IMO...🤔😳😀🇬🇧

Man this is a toss up. I tend to do most of my flying in the later afternoon into early evening. I take that to mean that the Hawkeye image is going to look fabulous heading East and horrific heading West towards the sun. But once it gets a little darker, the Hawkeye seems to have the advantage. Like others said, maybe I need both LOL
