We call them spinner sharks here in NC - see them a bit but in the fall you’ll see them a lot skying on the bait balls. That’s run was a heck of a run didn’t think that fish was gonna tire before you got spooled! Cheers man

Thanks! Was a great day on the water for sure! The balloon keeps one bait really high in the water and far away so I can run a second bait deeper right under the kayak and they don't tangle. I just got a fishing balloon kit from Amazon and rubber band the balloon to my line 20 feet above the bait.

There's a Facebook group called Hawaii Kayak Fishing. Lots of helpful advice and I've seen folks getting together to fish on there. Hope thos helps 🤙
