18th Annual Hawaii Forgiveness Day

Each year in early August for the past 18 years, we have walked the path of Forgiveness together -- through the State Capitol, several sites at University of Hawaii, many Schools, Churches and Community Centers.
We like to shake things up every year.
This year, the global pandemic shakes everyone up, giving us the opportunity to meet at home -- in our offices, schools, and opening up to many others around the country and the world.
A luminous, peaceful program of inspiration and perspective. A program of respect and gratitude for the life we are privileged to live in Hawaii Nei.

+ Aaron Mahi, one of our most beloved musical kupuna, will host, with his eternal sound of the Queen's Prayer, honoring Hawai'i's Queen, Lili'uokalani.
+ Cheryl Flaharty, profound artistic visionary from IONA, shares her original dance, "Passages into Tomorrow" -- created originally to help fathom the Hiroshima nuclear bombing, and resonating through today's global tragedies.
+ Haunani Apolonia, emeritus Chair of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, sings Alu Like.
+ Diane Fujio, with A Forgiveness Prayer: moments of stillness, from the Master Sha Tao Center.
+ Jerry Jampolsky and Diane Cirincione, Two of the original creators of global Forgiveness, who have awarded so many Forgiveness Heroes, are now reognized themselves, as Hawaii Forgiveness Heroes.
+ JoYi Rhyss joins us, to tell her personal story of forgiveness beyond reason. A new Forgiveness Hero: overcoming of prejudice and tragedy, through mindfulness.
+ The song, "Imagine", by John Lennon. Return to an eternal theme of Forgiveness Day -- with introduction by Yoko Ono contributed some years ago.
