Aloha Sean and Nhi! All were awesome choices! My son and I love Kogi Aina and their shave ice! I tried to film it during Covid but trashed it because I did a bad job filming lol. But we used to go often! I love Aunty Susan. She is the OG of hotpot and made it famous with her old place in Moiliili called Sweet Home Cafe. I haven't been to her new spot but loved her old place and her second place Auntys Ramen before they closed down. I recently went to the Shabu Shabu and enjoyed it too! Can't go wrong with all three! Ooh hot pot! It's quiet interesting that you can self serve the items from the fridge! Nice! The free desserts at Kogi Aina & Aunty's Hot Pot looked so good! Especially, Aunty's! I love ginger onion sauce. Get some thin slice chicken & you have yourself some Hainan chicken! All three places look really great! Thanks for the video!

Sean, I live with a woman from Manilla and her husband who is Vietnamese and came to the states from Paris. They introduced this haole from Cali to Hot Pot. It's a different experience in dining. The list of Hot Pot places in Hawaii look exceptional. Killer episode my friend. BTW - You need and episode of you spear fishing and cooking your catch on the beach.

What's up Hawaiian Travellers,... awesome video like always. We was in Oahu this past weekend and got to try at Aunty Hot Pot in Kapolei and it was delicious.. We tried some places you guys recommend and it was right on and I let them know that it was you guys who recommended it. One of the workers said " people actually go places recommended by you tubers?" LOL.... THANKS Sean and Nhi. Braddah Sean you gotta try stop dropping your food🤣 We wanted to go North Shore side but we never go because of the high wind advisory. It was pretty windy up there. We went Kailua side and kind of got stuck in traffic...tree wen fall down.

Haha Charles, all good , my shirt got dirty since I don't buy expensive clothing so it's okay. Looks brand new after one wash:)

I usually go to Hot Pot shabu shabu. never went to a hot pot where the broth was just that good on it's own so i just take the dipping sauce i make and toss it in the broth. i like the conveyor style too. never really get appetizers/desserts but that bobba shave ice does look good. service is always good never an issue their. Parking i just park at walmart and walk it over. literally just across the street.

Hi Sean, we’re coming to Hawaii for vacation this March and was looking up videos to view. Found yours and love it…especially from a local perspective. You and your wife are so good together..fun to watch. I used to live in Hawaii and have visited a few times afterwards. One of my favorite places to eat was Grace’s Inn located at 1296 S Beretania St #101, Honolulu, serving local Hawaiian plate lunches. I went there a lot when I lived there and go there at least once every time visit. Have you been?

@@SeanKaleponi My buddies and I always arrange for designated drivers and taxi/Uber or couch surfing/tomaru. We have a set/standing menu. We wash whatever’s not a paper plate or disposable utensil and split the leftovers if we’re going to icha (another place to drink darts & pool karaoke). Cancer immuno compromised my kid sister in her 40s, but my buddies are well-trained via repetition/practice. The split hot pot bowl is super cool. I don’t bother sharing utensils with hashi/chopsticks, but for soupy stuff I’ll dirty a spoon. I’ll hopefully do butane hot pot in the future. I always have pan-Chan (side dishes), so it’s fun.

I love the idea of choosing your items from the refrigerated section! I assume they are all flavored broths; is it a standard house broth, or have choices.

My recent video on Oahu Part 1 , I end the video there at Makua Beach. Countryside Cafe and Moutain Magic Shave Ice is where I stop when I head to Makua Beach😋👍🤙

The look on your face when you bit into the Taiwanese Pork Chops at Aunty's Hotspot is enough for me to try it when I get there. It looks so good, but I don't know about that Dragon Cucumber I think I will pass on that one.
