Fun fact... When Kavita K first recorded this song, she was just brought to sing the demo version of it that would be used for filming on set. Later asha Bhosle was supposed to come and dub over the song for the official release. But the music directors loved her version so much, they decided not to dub it over and go with it as the official release. And I think it was her first major hit..
