Love that Jay does what he can to give back to his friends, family and even extended family of his friends. This seems to be turning into a "series", would definitely really enjoy seeing it happen again. Even a "Pimp My Computer" series.

I didn't have one close until, sometime early next year lol. One is opening in Charlotte NC, I'm just a little south of it in SC, still a 40 minute drive though. I think the next closest is in georgia somewhere.

Genuinely excited to be living next to a micro center next year

If you have not gone to a Microcenter.. and have one in your state... GO TO IT. The one in Detroit here in Michigan, i went to and its a computer enthusiast HEAVEN! Also they know who Jay is, so thats a plus!

Even if it's not in your state, go! It's a good excuse for a 3-hour mini-road-trip from Omaha to Kansas City. The first time I went, I was used to Best Buy etc. and thought, "What is this wonderful thing called 'in-stock inventory?'" Truly magical in this era where I can't even find an effing replacement remote for my OLED TV at 'The Big Mama 'NFM electronics store here in Omaha which is way bigger but way worse than Microcenter.

I'm always thankful I have a local MC. Best computer/electronics store ever.

It's 3 hours or so from me, but Microcenter is really awesome. Edit: In the era of online only, I really appreciate a hands-on product experience. I buy from brick and mortar when they have items in-stock. I loathe online ordering.

Exactly. I must get up to Bolton and see what I can get "hands-on" at Scan. I really want a 1600p widescreen, but I've already been bitten by one that actually comes up in Hardware Monitor or Display as being 1600p when in the flesh you can see it is 1440p and lying in software. I also don't like delivery charges when I can just go to the store and pick it up myself minus.

I try to shop at bm stores too. But God dam all of them near me stock garbage. If they have anything decent it's wayyyy overpriced. Which I'm down to pay more to have it NOW, but $560 for a 5600x during it's launch was too much. I understand why do they did it. But when I asked if they would take $450 they were assholes. I definitely got the last laugh with them though. Wish I had a good local PC store though. You don't understand how nice MC is until you walk through an entire aisle of just mousepads. The pnw could use an MC.

So cool to support local businesses and the ppl that work there! I will gladly pay more than on-line store (I don't use Amazon, Newegg, etc...). I love that I am helping a local human put food on their table. If you don't support local, we won't have many stores to go to in the future!?

I just wanted to say that the content you have been putting over the past year has been amazing, I think you get WAY to much heat from people over the FREE information you provide, I’m a little sad that Phil’s video was taken down as I enjoyed hearing his views on the graphics card from his experiences with it, I would also like to see more of the reasonings behind the choices you make in videos like this as that will provide (in my opinion) a better understanding as to why people don’t have to always look for top tier hardware to get the performance that they want. Just my thoughts on it and a little thank you for providing such amazing insightful content and expertise for free for so many years. I hope you know that you have a lot of fans who appreciate your thoughts on our collective hobby

I went to micro center for the first time two days ago down here in Georgia. It was definitely an older one but when I pulled up I felt like a kid going to GameStop 😂. Ended up buying a i7-12700k cpu for my build and even applied to work there!

Super cool to see Micro Center help yall pay it forward and get your friends some neat upgrades. Phil wasn't kidding about the hand-me-down thing. Once i get a new PC for me, my current rig is going to my friend who's got an old budget 8th gen intel and 1050Ti gaming laptop that's been overheating since day 1. Hopefully Micro Center builds a store in Seattle or Spokane soon.

I am so glad you mentioned Micro Center opening in Indianapolis. I used to travel 2 hours to go into Cincinnati - now Micro Center is just across town and at this moment they are open and have been there three times last week. I am SO HAPPY - Indy has been so under served over last few years - Now that Fry's went out of business a couple years ago - Micro Center will be so very utilized.

I live in Michigan, specifically Troy Michigan. We have the blessing of having a micro center in our area. Amazon does on occasion fail, usually because they're trying to push whatever item they have too much of or whatever. But, when that happens? We get in the car and we go to micro center 🙂

These surprise Microcenter videos are always great. Tis fun learning what items are decided on and why they were chosen.

Truly awesome to see a microcenter. Closest electronics store to me in Northwest Florida is best buy, which is a 40 minute drive. Closest micro center to me is about 4 hr 40 minutes away in Georgia. 💀

It's worth the trip if you plan on getting everything all at once for the greatest prices. It's a 5 hour round trip for me to get to my Micro Center. Plan on going again at the beginning of summer when I have a little bit more money saved up.

I love Micro Center. They remind me of what Fry's Electronics used to be like... but without the refrigerator section.

We had a Fry's Electronics here in the Indianapolis metro area. After Fry's shut down, people were clamoring for MicroCenter to put a store in Indianapolis. Said people were overjoyed when the MC Indy store was announced.

I didn't know Christmas came in June 😛This was a nice idea for you guys to do for your friends. I'm sure they appreciated it a heck of a lot. Definitely a fun video to just chill and enjoy. Well done Jay Phil and Nic 😄

Microcenter is great. Been to the sharonville ohio store when I built my first PC. Now I am near chicago and we have 2 great stores in the area. I am so spoiled. Oh thanks again for all the great work. Never would have known about microcenter or how to build a PC without the help and knowledge from this channel and so many other great channels.

I enjoy seeing these videos every now and then. It's always amazing to see others help their friends out.

Only a minute into the video and the literal best idea ever popped into my mind! What if you can customise the GIF on your coolers LCD screen based on the temperature of your CPU? I would make a cool transition effect starting with a frosty animation that slowly transforms into a fiery hell as the CPU warms up... that would be AMAZING to look at! 😝

I like going to SCAN Computers only location In Bolton to have a look around and try out the sim rigs they have set up in store. Obviously not as good as a Microcenter, but you have to make the most of what is available. We in the UK need Microcenter to open up stores like this, if they did, my bank balance would be crying anytime I went there!

MICRO CENTER FINALLY COMING TO FLORIDA 2024. NO 9HR DRIVES TO ATLANTA. I know I said this already(many times). I promise,this is the last time

I am considering making pilgrimage to Microcenter. It's one of the things I miss about Columbus. I left there and moved to NC, now I'm in Louisville KY so I'm close enough to make a weekend trip to visit friends and go there.

I'm so happy there building a micro center in Miami. After tiger direct imploded and all of the mom and pop computer stores died out on the other side of the Miami International Airport, this is such a treat.

This is great! Once again Micro Center, Jay and crew doing for others. I love my Micro Center. BTW, just got my JTC desk mat and loving it as well.

Just recently moved to Indy for a job opportunity.. So happy to hear Microcenter is opening up. I have always wanted to go!! I hope to see you all on opening day!!
