    Bring back maps that you purchase from Cartographers which would be a new profession skill ingame. I also think Towns and TC buildings shouldnt be visible if you have not discovered them.

    Maybe just a map system like scribing where you can draw routes and then you have to stop and look at it which leaves you exposed. Also the idea of them being stolen or looted sounds cool.

    I feel indifferent about the map thing. I think having no map or markers makes you learn the map a whole lot better. Even after a long break I can find my way around the map just because I had to figure it out by myself back in the day. Makes exploring much more memorable.

    Tbh I don't care if there is a map market or not it would be good for newer players as long as the map doesn't begin to be too detailed besides your location and major cities

    Starvalt should not show a player's exact coordinates on the map. Getting lost, finding your way and learning to navigate the world is incredibly fun. This fun would be ruined if you could just open your map and see your exact location. It takes time to learn your way around Myrland. Navigating is a skill that's very satisfying to improve over time. Just like your skill in combat. Dark souls had no in game map and no GPS system. This made traversing the world very engaging. A huge part of dark souls was learning your way around the world and the same can be said about Mortal Online 2. The process of navigating Myrland is one of my favorite parts of Mortal Online 2. I really enjoy: • Exploring • Finding new or alternative routes • Getting lost and maybe finding my way. • The risks involved with navigating. (This game is all about taking risks) • When some shows you a new route or when you show some one a new route. Can we just have one mmo that does not spoon feed you? Every MMO spoon feeds you all this information including your exact location. Why does mortal have to be like every mmo? Showing your current position on the map is the equivalent of removing combat pets from the game. Some people really don't like combat pets. Does that mean we should just remove pets? No that's crazy! The same can be said about GPS. Some people don't want to build their navigation skills. Should Starvalt just give these players GPS because they're lazy and in the process ruin the fun for the current player base? No, of course not!

    Taskmarkers on the compass are so much more heresy than player position on the map

    I found the solution for these crashes if you have a recent intel CPU. You need (sadly) to disable a few things in the BIOS and it fixed 100% of these crashes. In the BIOS in advanced CPU settings I disabled : hyper threading, turbo bost and turbo boost 3.0. AFAIK this is a UE5 issue, not a SV issue.

    Hopefully they will make a toggle barr forr showing your location on the map. I have allways enjoyed that you dont see yourself :P I am rreally good att getting myself lost, haha

    They need to create a circle around each major town, make that guarded territory, do their map in that area then make everything else unmapped wilderness.

    Dang man, I didn't crash even once. Overall, I'd say the new Haven design is definitely better, there's more POI's and things to do, and the balances of materials/resources are better... but it's also still a bit wonky. Thinking of it from fresh eyes, I'd at least do one thing urgently; take out the small attack boundaries for the bandits/spiders etc. LOL the nitre workers threw me out of their own attack range then would fully heal themselves?... a lot of other weird wonky things occurred, that as a new player, i would have struggled to understand then get upset when I did? The builds... um... weren't perfectly optimal? but they're pretty acceptable. Definitely needs to be a better diversity of them at some point, but I guess we're not quite there yet. The majority of the clades factions don't exist, and thereby aren't even relevant yet. Like a Sarduccan isn't worth playing until Sarducca exists. The faction standing needs some gravitas soon.

    Only problem I had was the polearm change. I love the current system where if you use poleaxes you can also use spears and axes and I don’t want the best weapons in the game costing the same skill points as all the other weapons which all sacrifice something in comparison.

    They are not the best weapons in the game. I can understand the frustration about not having 4 weapons for 200AP, but these weapons need to see more play for diversity's sake. Alot of people have been waiting on this change to be able to use the pole weapons in builds without being forced to use 200AP for 3 other weapons they dont want to master.

    @@zayzaymonz2785 they are the best weapons though. Maybe not poleswords because the damage isn’t actually that high, but no other weapon type has both range and 4 swings that do damage. All other weapon types sacrifice something. Also, there’s no 1h polearms. You need another weapon to even have the option of running a shield. Maybe not everyone needs to be able to use a shield but diversity=\=good design

    @wolfachilles5451 I see where you are coming from. The damage and range is nice, but that's not everything in combat. Alot of players believe poleaxe is cheeks because landing hits is hard with how slow it swings. Even accelerated the poleaxe is quite easy to read. On top of that, the time it takes to charge makes it hard to initiate in 1v1 combat, so if you are fighting faster weapons, they can spam you. Lastly, because of the animations in group fights, especially in dungeons, the up/left swing is too inefficient and should hardly be used unless you want to smack the wall or your teammate for big damage. Ultimately, on paper it looks OP, but there are plenty of drawbacks.

    New Haven was good. I gave them good feedback on the builds, but quite frankly I don't want to give some noob my build that I have been refining for years.

    i agree with the premade builds its stupid but one thing i think thats really wrong with it is max clade in haven 8 now that theres more stuff to do in haven this only hurts the newer players i dont think its that harmful to the game if someone sticks it out in haven and gets to 20 ive done it before myself lol but i can also understand wanting a limit but 8 is too low i think 15 would be more ideal doing this while this vet system is supposedly around the corner really hurts the newer players putting them further behind

    They need to fix the pop ups when dueling with the guys that do no damage. noobs will panic and just click through.

    I am fine with map markers on the world map, the reason being that this is an RPG None of us can shoot a fireball in real life. Very few of us can ride a horse or sword fight. And yet the game allows you to do this without the real world knowledge. So why should it expect you to be able to read a map? Orienteering is a real life skill that few people have. In real life unless you were in scouts or army cadets or in the actual army, or work in wildlife conservation or some such, you probably do not have this skill. You just use Google maps and nobody complains about the realism of GPS (except maybe flat earthers) So in game, orienteering is just something the game should provide, either that or it should be a learnable skill. I would love to see a Cartography skill for making maps and an Orienteering skill to read them, as this would provide more immersion while still giving you the in game tools you need so as to not have to use 3rd party tools in browser like the mortal online map website. Having in game maps could provide advantages for the skill allocation like seeing exactly where you are in relation to animal spawns or collectible ore/plant spawns etc. It could make a whole clan player role as a scout and map maker. But until that happens I have no problem with there being just a free world map that anyone can use and see their position on.

    They need something. Constantly bleeding players. My feedback. Less dupes and exploits. Don’t worry a few years from now it will be only 300 playing just like the first game.

    def thumbs down on the map marker. new players can already know where they are. if they spawn into meduli for example, then guess what? you're in meduli. if you run north out of town, guess what? your north of meduli. figure out the rest.
