I just tried it! My hair is a little shorter than hers, but when you undo the bun, it actually falls apart and untangles on its own

If u have hair extensions nothing can damage them more than that - hair extensions

My hair is not as long yet this trick worked perfectly. Feels very secure and was pretty easy- toughest part is tying the hair knot behind your head!

I have a lot of (straight) hair and no layers ahaha. It’s also too slippery to hold an elastic well so I usually need a minimum of 2-3. The ends will also never tuck nicely. Super cute bun tho!

Forget trying to pull pieces out softly. Hands on top of head, shimmy side to side, loosens whole area and lays much nicer. Got my part covered just enough. Thanks for a bun that works on my slippery thick hair! My hair spits bobby pins. Up to 30 last time in tears from the headache. I can let this one fall out and just redo it. Stab a pretty spike in if need be.

Oh no, it can definitely be tough because it's behind your head BUT it's the same knot as the first knot you tie when you tie your shoes. I hope this helps a bit.❤️
