For those of you who need an explanation on how this works: When you rub your elbow in front of a wall, the wall thinks you’re going to practice an elbow drop on it. This makes it so scared that it backs up.

Ok, so here's the explanation: Initially you won't measure the distance between your body and the wall, the free initial position of your body subconsciously forces you to reach the wall even though the actual distance between your body and the wall is not exactly arm's length, so your body will actually lean forward a little, the trick here is that when you're asked to rub your elbow, it makes your body straight and think that to reach the wall you would just stretch your arms forward (assuming that you have reached it before), but it turns out you don't reach it because that is the actual distance between your body and the wall. It's a combination of suggestion and science.

It is because she reaches farther on the initial reach to touch the wall. Look at her shoulder going forward. She does not know she is LEANING to reach the wall. When she disengages, she expects that she can still reach the wall so she does not lean forward and her shoulder is back, as you would reach when standing upright (not leaning forward).

Sure! Here's a basic muffin recipe: Ingredients: - 2 cups all-purpose flour - 1/2 cup granulated sugar - 1 tablespoon baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon salt - 1 cup milk - 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter - 2 large eggs - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract - Optional: add-ins like chocolate chips, blueberries, nuts, etc. Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a muffin tin with paper liners. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. 3. In a separate bowl, mix together the milk, oil or melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined. 4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay. 5. If using any add-ins, gently fold them into the batter. 6. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full. 7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean. 8. Remove from the oven and let cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy your homemade muffins! Pin? Edit:thanks for 272 likes Edit 2:goal 350 likes Well.. here's another one Here's a classic brownie recipe that's rich, fudgy, and delicious: ### Ingredients: - *1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter* - *1 cup (200g) granulated sugar* - *2 large eggs* - *1 teaspoon vanilla extract* - *1/3 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder* - *1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour* - *1/4 teaspoon salt* - *1/4 teaspoon baking powder* - *Optional: 1/2 cup (90g) chocolate chips or chopped nuts* ### Instructions: 1. *Preheat your oven* to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper. 2. *Melt the butter* in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth. 3. **Add the cocoa powder**, flour, salt, and baking powder to the mixture. Stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. 4. *Fold in any optional ingredients* like chocolate chips or nuts, if using. 5. *Pour the batter* into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly. 6. *Bake* in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not completely clean for fudgy brownies). 7. *Cool* the brownies in the pan before cutting into squares. Enjoy your homemade brownies! New recipe 3 recipes at 1k likes Early recipe: Here's a delicious chocolate cupcake recipe: ### Ingredients: #### Cupcakes: - 1 cup all-purpose flour - 1 cup granulated sugar - 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder - 1 teaspoon baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon salt - 1/2 cup vegetable oil - 2 large eggs, room temperature - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract - 1/2 cup buttermilk, room temperature - 1/2 cup hot water #### Chocolate Buttercream Frosting: - 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature - 3-4 cups powdered sugar, sifted - 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder - 1/4 cup heavy cream - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract - Pinch of salt ### Instructions: #### Cupcakes: 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. 3. Add the vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed until well combined. 4. Slowly add the buttermilk, mixing until just incorporated. 5. Carefully add the hot water to the batter, mixing on low speed until smooth. The batter will be thin. 6. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full. 7. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. 8. Allow the cupcakes to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. #### Chocolate Buttercream Frosting: 1. In a large bowl, beat the butter on medium speed until creamy, about 2 minutes. 2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, one cup at a time, beating on low speed until incorporated. 3. Add the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat on high speed for 3 minutes, until the frosting is light and fluffy. If the frosting is too thick, add a little more cream; if it's too thin, add more powdered sugar. 4. Once the cupcakes are completely cool, frost them using a piping bag or a spatula.

For those who needs a serious explanation: The elbow is the region between the upper arm and the forearm that surrounds the elbow joint. The elbow includes prominent landmarks such as the olecranon, the cubital fossa (also called the chelidon, or the elbow pit), and the lateral and the medial epicondyles of the humerus. The elbow joint is a hinge joint between the arm and the forearm; more specifically between the humerus in the upper arm and the radius and ulna in the forearm which allows the forearm and hand to be moved towards and away from the body. The term elbow is specifically used for humans and other primates, and in other vertebrates it is not used. In those cases, forelimb plus joint is used.

Found out why this happens! When you run your elbow, you actually lean back just a little bit because of the force, hence why you cant reach the wall anymore. I tested it and when i stayed completely still my hand could touch the wall again even after rubbing the elbow :3

for everyone who doesn’t understand, this is how it works, when your hand is on the wall, your center of gravity is more forward bc your hand is against the wall and you can’t fall forward, but when you take it away you sway more to your heals and your center of gravity is now over your feet not allowing you to fall and when you stick it out again, your center of gravity stays the same, and it gives the false appearance that your hand got shorter

How the trick works: So, when you put your hand on the wall, youre kind of leaning against it a little bit. when you take you hand off the wall, you stop leaning, and you dont need to rub your elbow for it to get "shorter," you can just put your hand back. its just an optical mind trick for the person doing the trick, and you watching it.

Explanation: whenever you put your hand on the wall, you are leaning forward a little bit. This is because your body wants your hand against the wall rather than just standing. Whenever you take your hand off and rub your elbow, you're no longer leaning on the wall which means that your hand is no longer touching it. Like if this helped.

If anyone is curious on the actual trick behind it; When you naturally put your arm out in front of you, your shoulder is in a relaxed, regular position, but when you buing up your elbow, you put your shoulder back a bit and dont think to put it back to resting before putting your hand back to the wall. Almost everyone can do this trick, but if youre hypermobile or flexible, you might be able to make the gap bigger than most

ACTUAL Explanation: when you first extend your arm, the corresponding ligaments, tendons and muscles in your arm extend with it, this includes the level of blood flow in your arm. When you drop your arm to your side, those parts of your arm retract, and the blood flow in your arm is increased by this retraction and by your arm dropping to your side. When you bend your elbow and rub it you force these parts of your arm to, yet again, extend/stretch, while increasing the blood flow to your elbow and slowing the blood flow to your finger tips. Therefore, when you extend your arm forward again it will not reach as far and you will have more of a clench/tightening of your tendon/ligament/muscle in your arm with A) the lack of blood flow going to your fingers b) the recent stretching in your elbow. This leads to your arm appearing to be shorter when really it is just not as relaxed as it would normally be. If you attempt to do this by just dropping your arm to your side after touching the wall, you will not have any issue touching the wall because your blood flow is one of the fastest adapting aspects of the human body, but if you attempt this by touching the wall and then bending/rubbing your elbow without first dropping it to your side you will notice that if you do reach the wall the second time it will not be with your palm or at least the entirety of your palm, specifically the heel of your palm. This is because you have tightened the tendon/ligament/muscle aspects of your arm with a quick and drastic adjustment to your blood flow. In any case, if you attempt this process in its entirety and simply wait a minute with your arm still extended forward you will notice that you are able to reach the wall now that the internal aspects(beneath the skin before the bone)of your arm are able to stretch back to their original states. I usually do not comment on things like this, but after seeing the numerous ridiculous responses like “leaning forward” and such, I was compelled. Which, by the way, the leaning explanation is especially ridiculous because you will actually lean backwards when you initially touch the wall from your shoulder due to an inaccurate assumption of the distance between your body and the wall which will be accommodated by the human brain by getting closer rather than further so your palms will be pressed up to the wall harder than they would be if you were the exact distance from the wall equivalent to the length of your arm. Furthermore, when you can’t reach the wall initially your brain will tell you to lean forward. To recap, lean back to start, forward to end, and yet still unable to reach the wall which makes that explanation so ridiculous. Watch the girl in the video, specifically her left shoulder, it goes backwards the first time she reaches the wall as her feet and body stay in the same spot which takes away from the distance her arm needs to extend the next time she reaches up, rather than add to it. Furthermore, this result will be more drastic in women than men because most men tend to perform more strenuous activities with their arms on a daily basis creating faster adjustment periods for their arms, and a more elastic consistency to their arms compared to most women. The same way women can get on their knees and elbows and then cross their arms behind their backs without adjusting their position or falling forward, whereas men simply fall on their faces. The only gender specific bone in the human body is the pelvis for child birth necessities. This allows women to bear a significant amount of weight with their pelvis/hip bones compared to men. And to anyone currently enjoying pregnancy with their partner, while their hips are designed to bear the extra weight, it doesn’t make it anymore comfortable than one might imagine. So, standing behind them and gently lifting their abdomens by placing your hands flat along the base of their abdomen for 4-5 minutes at a time can provide them with IMMENSE relief, but this cannot be done for extended periods of time or in great abundance throughout the day as it can apply pressure internally to the abdomen/uterus which can cause complications to a degree. A four to five minute lift, 2-6 inches(depending on the size of the abdomen in comparison to the frame of the bearer, meaning extremely small body frame of the woman with a belly that would be considered large even if she was carrying twins would allow for a 5-6 inch lift without issue)is perfectly safe as long as the child bearer is maintaining a keen awareness to their abdomen so to notice any shifting, pain or reaction of any kind. Any experience of that nature should be met with an immediate stoppage in this lifting of the abdomen, and it wouldn’t be a bad thing to share this reaction with your OBGYN just to be on the safe side. The likelihood of causing any complications at all is extremely small, but that doesn’t mean we stop practicing safety in all manners especially in regards to pregnancy and child birth. I hope this was helpful and/or informative, but, most importantly, a deterrent to those spreading information with absolutely no factual basis whatsoever beyond guessing and wanting to appear knowledgeable for strangers you will never meet or even see in your life outside your devices.

Actual explanation: It's because at first your leaning on the wall, and when you rub your elbow, you stop leaning on it, so it leaves a space.

  • @jinglin7910

So if you’re wondering whenever you put your hand on the wall, so you’re leaning on the wall whenever you put your hand back and rub your elbow, then you’ll not lean because you’ll stay perfectly where you are and then you’re gonna put your hand back on your wall so that there’s a space there

I have now changed the original comment, you will never know what i wrote: Down below is my favorite Warhammer 40k excerpt as compensation. ‘It has long been in your capability to transform these worlds. Baal Primus is dead, but you need not let your remaining people suffer unnecessarily. Will they fight any better for dwelling on a world that kills them? By sacrificing their children to the Emperor’s service, they have earned a better life. Once you have torn that blasphemy down, raise up the population of Baal Secundus. Teach them what we are fighting for. A line must be drawn between what is good and what is evil, for if the Great Enemy comes with offers of power to a wretch, what reason does he have to refuse hell if he dwells in it already?
