Have you ever wondered why the Holy Spirit descended as a dove on Jesus, but as fire on the disciples, This is powerful. this has not been used before. The reason why the holy ghost rested on jesus as dove but as fire on the disciples was because in the disciples, there was something to burn, but in Jesus, there was nothing to burn. fire comes to consume, Fire comes to refine, fire comes to destroy. So in Jesus, there was nothing to burn because Jesus is Lord, jesus is perfect. but in the lifes of the disciples, there was something to burn. Fleshly desires had to burn. Lustful desires had to be burnt off. They had to be refined. They had to be broken. They had to be empowered. They had to be used. The fire of the Holy Spirit had to strengthen them for the work. Why? Because you see Jesus came to bring salvation. So he didn't need the baptism of fire. The apostles needs the fire to preach salvation. That is why we need the baptism of fire.
