in UK you need a category D license to drive a bus. I believe it's the same in the EU countries, so a car license (category B) would not cover this.

@@bodazephyr6629 Update: I’ve read the booklet of exempt vehicles for UK and it says if the bus is over 30yrs old and you’re not carrying any more than 8 people you can drive it on a category B.

@@BikerBearMTB interesting, I wonder if the limit of 3500kg for category B still applies in this case. Personally, I think most people who only have a car license would struggle to drive a bus without the additional lessons done during cat D training.

@@bodazephyr6629 yes that is what I was thinking, a bus is much larger, although I’m sure you could get used to it. And no, the 3500kg limit does not apply, this is why they are called exempt vehicles. It’s nice to know it’s another vehicle option though!
