I knew a man who lived with his four daughters, his wife and his mother in law. He was his family’s support, bringing food to the table, fixing things, taking care of his family. He arrived from work late and he got home to help his family with whatever they needed and they always needed him, than sat down for dinner went to bed and did the exact same thing the next day and the next. That went on until he passed away. I never once heard him complain. That was discipline

Actually, this is extremely common where I live. Most Dad's are like that...they work the same way, same routine, till the last day. No change, ever...even family vacations ...decided by others and fixed yearly. I guess, in poorer countries and insecurity with jobs/business causes men to adapt and become like that. No change ever, for decades till gone!

He’s not built different, he’s said on multiple occasions he often doesn’t want to push himself. He has enough discipline to power through. Discipline isn’t magic, it’s constantly pushing your own boundary. I used to do this to, but I’m through making excuses for being being lazy and undisciplined

Doing things that actually make you mentally and physically stronger is literally the only thing that isn't pointless in life. You might just see some dude snorkelling for no reason, but you're completely overlooking the mental fortitude, discipline and ability to overcome difficult situations. Which ends up positively effecting everything in your life, when negative things happen you won't be some miserable bitch that can't handle any adversity, if you're depressed you have the mental toughness to not allow to hold you back and eventually overcome it.
