Question; does Dazai join the mafia the same way here are he did in canon? Because if so then things can get a lot more angsty- Imagine, Dazai, slowly dying; aged 14 years old. Thinking it’s the end. When he can only muster a few thoughts. His mind looks over his life. All the things he did, all the people he talked to, all the faces he saw, but it lands on one person- Chuuya. Dazai thinks of Chuuya. He thinks of them holding each other during nap time, being inseparable. He remembers seeing Chuuya bloodied and attempting to carry him on shaky knees. He remembers Chuuya’s bubbly energy. His smile. His voice. All the feels is the warmth of being held by his best friend again. But he also remembers the way Chuuya was ripped away from him. How he’d woken up and Chuuya wasn’t in his arms anymore. How he tried and tried to find him and no matter where he looked- he couldn’t find him anywhere. He’d lost Chuuya. His Chuuya. Imagining him laying, alone, and his last thought being; *Im sorry I couldn’t find you.* But good thing he survives lol!!
